please boys and girls can we stop slagging the ps vita. its a fantastic console. you'll all see when awesome games come out for it.

Sparks we can have a vita versus wii u contest at pantry boys beers.

Well, just be careful around Sparks with the Vita, he may try to put in into your rectum.....
Now, I'm all for new and interesting ways to operate that underused rear touchpad of the Vita's, but via the rectal sphincter is not one of them!

    So, to recap,
(Sparks+Lube) + (You+Your Vita) = Good enough reason to run away!

Well, contrary to expectations, it turns out there is a god and he's a retro gaming fiend, the much heralded Neo Geo X had been discontinued, probably because it sucks at the one job it has, to provide and exacting Neo Geo AES experience, and also because the pitiful job it does manage can be done on a badly optimised PSP emulator.
Allegedly the company behind the rectal discharge of a machine have said they'll continue to support the device with the expected further game cards, I wouldn't hold my breath though.
Time to buy one cheap I wonder?

Interesting! I guess once the news broke that they were ****, they sales figures declined rapidly.

Unless they suddenly decide to off the reminder of their stock cheap (or other retailers do the same), it'll probably only go up in value as it'll be rare.

    It was new and shiney!

In fairness the hardware is top notch and has fantastic features but Sony's utilisation of it so far as been very lackluster.

Could have been worse, could've traded it in for a Neo Geo X, or a CDi!

I kinda traded it in with the mistaken idea that the firmware had been hacked to be honest with you. It's OLED screen is fantastic to see in person though it really is. I'd play it more if I wasn't stuck on a bit in Uncharted.

I've got the PS Vita I got in Japan on its original firmware. It's supposed to be hackable or will be hackable in the near future. No to bothered to be honest as I've two Vita's (Jap and Euro) and I don't use either of them. I had a third one that I sold off a while back (I won it in work).

Aye, I took a gander at that a while ago. I always like Roo's matter-of-fact style; he's informative, but never dry. He also doesn't crowbar any woeful cracks at humour into his stuff.

He seems to be on a bit of a sabbatical, I've noticed.

A fully hacked Vita is almost as useless as a stock Vita as there's still very very little reason to own one imo.

Ah now, It does a great job of , ehh, it has some great ga..., ehh.
The girl that sold my Jap one to me was wearing a bikini and it was a cold day, that's about the highlight of my Vita experience.

There are a few nice things on it but to me its a massive failure on Sony's part.

No, she was younger than that schoolgirl.

The Vita just needs good games because it's a cracking piece of hardware (other than relying too much on touch controls in the menues, the screen is already smugged before you start a game.

As it stands I think the Vita has enough to warrent buying it. To top it off PSP games look absolutely glorious on it.

I'd like one but it would need to be a trade for one, not spending money on it in a year that'll see me buy new machines from Sony, MS and probably a pcb or three!

Hey, Achilles I will trade you Steel Battalion for the Vita!

How much are vitas going for now sure?

I was going to pick up one because I assumed enough time had passed so that the homebrew and mod scene for it would be after exploding

Interesting post regarding what the WiiU's VC might have.

250 although strangely Gamestop are selling the Vita packs that come with 1 game (a downloadable code annoyingly) and a 4GB memory card for 220. Get it from Gamestop.ie and they'll send it to you free of charge super quick and in the most ridiculously oversized cardboard box for something so tiny.

I'll probably end up doing the exact same thing with the Vita that I did with the PSP.

Want one on release due to tech porn reasons, but abstain.

Pick one up a few years down the line for a fraction of the price.

Mod it to play everything under the sun.

    Get bored with it.

Trade it away for something else.
