People have gone too off topic with this thread. I'd be with the Marvel side no doubt. The Hulk, although hard to control would be pretty unstoppable (Thor too) and when in Bruce Banner form would be a great help with weapons development working with Iron-man and Spider-man. Wolverine, near impossible to kill and Professor X can make opposing troops shoot themselves (too much of a pacifist to actually do this though).

The best DC have is superman, whip up some kyrptonite armour and bullets, be grand. What side will the villains be on though...?

In a third world war? Id pick the Germans French the US and the U.K. or just about any European nation. Two world wars later Europeans would be quick to mobilise and quick to get boots on the ground in whatever part the of the world a conflict fairs up, especially with US help.

I sincerely doubt that there will be a third world war It would have to start in Europe into it and we are too deeply integrated (like it did the first two times) ..what is more likely is a regional conflict pulling in a large power ... like the Israel situation at the moment. It is likely that thy have nukes but are probably the only ones in the region that do ...that is both good and bad ..it means that they can act as a stabilizing influence through fear ..But it is bad as all the arab nations will seek out nukes to even they playing field.
