It's Friday? No shower in a week? Christ man you might be fine, but have you asked anyone around you who's still conscious if they're ok?

Its been pointed out but yeah, its thursday, even if it wasnt it still wouldnt be a week since i showered.
And everyone around me is fine. Contrary to what hygiene freaks may think, people dont start emanating terrible smells and vapours as soon as they stop showering every 20 minutes.
If i warrant a shower I will be the first to notice and I'll have one (gym this evening for example) otherwise it's just a waste of time, energy and water.

Ah come on, a shower takes ten minutes, 20 minutes out of 16 hours in the day? And for most people a washing machine and dryer does the clothes.

The actual scrubbing in the shower may take 10 minutes but then there's the waiting for the immersion heater, that getting dried and dressed, I assume a lot of you probably gel your hair and stuff like that after as well.
The whole enterprise takes about an hour and that's if you dont stop for a quick tug in the shower

I agree with Crooked Jack, I spend about 20-25 mins in the shower. Then 3-4 mins brushing my teeth, a couple of minutes towel drying my hair and myself after the shower. Then I have to brush my hair and dry my hair, about 15 mins. A couple of minutes to pick out clothes and get dressed. Then about 15 mins for make up. All in all it takes me about 1 hour and 15-30 mins to have a shower and get ready in the morning. I'm not doing that every single morning, every second day is enough of that crap.

Always shower in the morning, don't get this showering before bed and then waking up after sweating under a duvet for the previous 5 or 6 hours. Not a great way to start the day. Nothing like a dump, followed by a shower, followed by a strong coffee to start off the day.

Jesus you must get up at 5 in the morning. **** that. I roll out of bed about 10 minutes before i have to be in the car

Double it, remember apparently twice a day is the minimum now.

Does that include the two tugs a day? Dont think I could even be arsed with that.

I usually go for a run after work and then shower and shave give the head a quick wash in the morning incl hair and it works, running really gets the sweat glands open and i'm mint after.

jesus looking at the thread im glad im a fella :D i have a good scrub on a sunday wash the hair, use soap etc etc and have a quick 3 min shower in the morning on a monday and tuesday, wash the hair again on wednesday and scrub and quick 3 min shower on thurday and friday. If im goin out friday nite ill have a good scrub and wash the hair, same on saturday (you have to have a good wash if you have a hangover you feel cleaner) and back to sundays routine then. i guess it really depends if you have immersion or not, my routine would be kinda fooked then waitin for it to heat up

Every morning, plus an evening shower if I've gone for a run. Helps to wake me up a bit, I'm not a morning person at all so I need all the help I can get with waking up!

Apparently, one does actually sweat quite a bit during the night. Over a litre on average. However, it's usually gone by the morning, absorbed by the bed clothes, mattress and your pyjamas so most people don't notice it. If you wake up suddenly in the night you might notice it though.

That said, I'm a night before person. Just couldn't be bothered and as it turns out my sweat smells like freshly baked cinnamon rolls so it's a win-win for everybody.

It's that horrible armpit smell when people don't wash that does for me, anything else I can cope with.

How do people spend 25-30 mins in the shower??... surely 5 mins is sufficiant or 10 max if you've just played a match or something.. ive a housemate who takes 20-25 mins in the shower every morning.. granted she's usually up half an hr before me but theres nothing more annoying than when i hear the bathroom door close and the shower switch go on 10 mins before i get up, usually means i miss the bus I like to get.... myself, i shower in the evening, mainly due to being in house share so its just easier (not steppin on any toes), but i def prefer the extra 15 mins in bed and am usually trianing/playin 5-a-side/going to gym in the evening so it just suits better... morning consists of brushing teeth, washing face and hands in the sink, gelling hair, spraying lynnx and squirt of hugo boss or whatever i have at the time... on a normal morning when uninterrupted im matress to bus stop in 20 mins

It's a myth that you sweat a litre of sweat every night, probably made up by mattress salespeople. An average person should only sweat a lot at night if you're in a very hot/humid climate, if your blankets/pyjamas are too hot for the climate you're sleeping in or if you are sick. There are also night sweats, which can be caused by menopause, pregnancy, excessive alcohol consumption or some other underlying issue.

But the average person certainly does not sweat over a litre at night, and if you are waking up in sweat each night then you need to either adjust your bed clothes/pyjamas to suit the temperature of the room, or else see your doctor!

A lot of people talking about pyjamas. Are there adults out there who actually wear pyjamas?

Oh come on, you dont want some sanitised, waxed underwear model making PG rated love to you. You want a fat, dirty slob who'll really get in there and do what needs to be done

    :pac::pac: WIN.

    I think most women do.

I just wear boxers myself and a t-shirt if its cold.

I stuck on a tshirt and a pair of tracksuit bottoms last night cos it was freezing

was actually pretty nice. I'm tempted to make it a thing.. although it does mean one more bastard item of clothing that needs washing

I find this very odd too.

Every 2nd day for a shower does me.
Showering every day (or twice a day) is not good for some peoples skin, as it can wash out some of the natural oils. Especially in the winter where central heating etc will dry the fúck out of your skin.

I wear big fluffy pyjamas and a dressing gown and slippers most of the time...and I'm 24. I'm such a catch with the occasional showers and fluffy pjs.

Exercise at night, shower then get into my pj's. Sometimes shower in morning if I feel like one, but never have to as I'm clean going to bed. I don't sweat at night normally.

Quite a lot of people on this thread must suffer with smegma.

I'm an evening before man - hate having a shower early in the morning (before work)...on day's off it's easier to aclimatise!

But I don't shower everyday. If I was working in a dirty, sweaty job, did any exercise or broke a sweat for any other reason during the day then it's a no-brainer, into the shower. But a strict rule of showering each and every day in the Irish winter (a cool, temperate climate) is kinda silly.

The smell of BO really turns my stomach. I really can't understand people who leave the house in the morning with out a shower. It beggars belief !!

I mean its a 10 minute job and its not as if soap is expensive.
