Why would he leave Dortmund though?

As i said im literally just throwing a name out there. He is in that sort of ball park and that's the only real argument i have for Gotze.

    I bet it's Torres :pac:

I want to hurt Craig Burley. Badly.

    +1

He is insufferable. "Should have scored from there". Just fúck off Burley you miserable jock

Jesus id nearly be every bit as disappointed as if it was Michael Johnson tbh as Torres. His best days are over imo

At this stage i hope its true. Please god it will be a signing that works out and that makes a real statement about our ambitions going forward.

£30m is a lot of money so should narrow down the possibilites a fair bit, unless it's for two or more players....
Maybe a Baines & Fellani double or a 30m signing of Theo on a 4 yr deal

Stop. Don't be teasing us like that.

Also consider Arshavin could be used as a make-weight for a big deal and we could literally be bidding for any of the available top top super quality players.

    What's Falcao's buyout clause? :)

Wouldnt surprise me. Fellaini would be worth close to that by himself!

We know what Wenger is like :pac:

    €45m, which is a little under £40m.

Edit: Nevermind, that was Porto :o

rule out Gotze, he's class but there's no cause for him to leave dortmund.

it's cavani. I feel it in my waters!

They probably take Arshavin or one or two others, but meh don't see it

No way Gotze will leave Dortmund, they have a great chance to win the CL.
Cavini or Vidal are the rumours but theres absolutely no point in reading too much into anything. Its Arsenal after all ;)

Think El Shaarawy would be a likely candidate but a first bid of 30m sounds too much for him.

Do Napoli need to sell ? They're doing very well in Serie A this year. Not the time to sell their best player unless they're in financial trouble

He can't be worth that much?

    My bets Robert Lewandowski.

At the end of half time I was certain a player was hugging a mascot or something til Cazorla turned around.

Is he in that bracket? i know he is rated but i thought the max for him would be 20m not 30m.

Word of caution, we once had a club record bid on Julio Baptista. £21m back in the summer of 2005

But Madrid seen that was a mistake so decided to help us out :pac:

I think the "will he ever get back to the level of before his injury" can finally be put to bed for good. Outstanding so he was.

Thought the coq played well if he sorts out his passing could be a brilliant player

    Played very well he did.

Overall I thought the performance from the team tonight was tremendous, especially the second half. We played with a hunger and passion that I havent seen too often enough for my liking this season lets hope of more of the same. I also thought the atmosphere from the fans was fantastic tonight even tho it wasn't a full house. Lets hope we can go in a bit of a run now and climb up the table.

I fcuking love Jack Wilshere what a player.

Never mind he has potential, or will be world class. Basing it on that performance if he can continue to play like that regulary then he already is world class. An amazing player getting back to his Barca beating best.

If that bid of 30m is true I reckon it's gzote who we bid for

Really, as much as I love Gotze. We already have Wilshere, Cazorla and even Arshavin who can play that role I seriously doubt Wenger believes we need strengthening in that area of the field.

If this 30Mill bid is true, then what position would we be strengthening?.

Id say it's either a Winger or Striker.

Edit: Also what good is a 30Mill bid, if we won't pay high wages. Because any player valued at that will be over a 100k

We supposedly went big for him last year too and we no from interviews that wenger really loves him

But I'm usually wrong on these kind of things :)
