Ros na Rún is terrific! More often than not it's light years ahead of FC in terms of writing and most definitely acting. Jo is NOT wanted in Spiddal, thanks!

Besides, she owns the Irish Film Institute. Imagine paying Jo Fahey for acting lessons... The mind boggles!

Think Christy is involved with it too..

He is a professional child actor and I just don't think he's a very good one. I'm sure other child actors deserve a break too, so ideally I'd like him to be fired and a different child to take over. It is nothing personal against him, I don't think his acting abilities diminish his human values, I'd say he's probably a nice person... I just think as a professional child actor he is not very good.

Remember - if bad child actors are praised for bad acting they can grow into a Mondo.

I'm sure none of us want another Mondo in this world.

Plenty of girls look fine at 40 and beyond without botox, maybe 50s can be a bit of a challenge, but 40s you should still look good. Yvonne is pretty alright, she probably just takes good care of herself, maybe some very slight help. But good food, exercise, water and a good lifestyle goes a long way.

I thought Ros na Ruin was over years ago, can't believe it's still on.

Ben was acting really well in this show, what a pleasant surprise.

I think her acting ability is hindered by a frozen forehead. Just a personal view on the art of acting and the importance to it of facial expression.

Ros na run... judging by the subtitles, I just don't find it so interesting that I'd want to learn Irish to watch it. Nobody I know ever watches it or talks about it. What kind of viewing figures does it get I wonder?

Why do the many FC script writers continue to ignore the superior thespian skills of the best bloody barman in Ireland.....Stephen Curtis?

If FC was scripted by the writers of Eastenders or Coronation Street Stephen would be the lead character.

My oldest sis is 40 and she looks fantastic - actually, she looks more like mid twenties, so yeah, I agree - you don't need botox to look good at 40, a healthy, sensible lifestyle is the key (good genes help too) As for Yvonne, I don't think her botoxed forehead is that noticeable - Ingrid's was much more obvious. Anyway, Ciara O' Callaghan is a good actress, I'm really enjoying her latest performance - if it wasn't for her and Bryan Murray, FC would have the axe man breathing down it's neck, as acting talent is thin on the ground there - the aforementioned being the exceptions:).

Agreed on those two, but I think there's a few more quality actors. Dermot, Enda, Wayne, Damien and Paul are all good. Among the women, maybe it's not so strong.

I can't really judge new people until they've been on it a couple of months, but I don't see much that's actively bad in the more established characters. It's hard for people to give great performances when they don't have a great story, I would say, and that's often where the blame lies.
