2 time robbery victim Phillis McGee from Pettigo in Donegal has just been interviewed by Miriam O'Callaghan on Primetime.

When asked by Miriam if she would like to see the burglers caught in the act, Phyllis proudly declared that she would like to see them shot, and that she 'would enjoy watching them being shot'.

Fair play to her. Not your typical old lady asking God to forgive the poor sinners and praying for their poor souls to be saved from eternal damnation.

Phyllis would make a Minister for Justice.

Anyone else find the bearded guy being interview by Miriam in the pub a bit strange? He said burglars are tapping in to people's phone lines to find out when they are going on holiday?Away with the fairies a bit I think. Also one woman suggested Phyllis should get a mobile phone?She has no electricity in her house!!

I have a neighbour with no electricity but he has a mobile phone. Having no ESB does not automatically mean you are living in the 19th century.

I think what the guy was alluding to was people (often through their phones) going on Facebook etc and posting no, boasting that they are off to wherever for two weeks.

But of course by all means mock him for not being as tech literate as you :rolleyes:

That was clearly the most important bit if the interview to focus on....

Oh, aren't you so great and humane. I suppose you aren't 78, live on your own, have been the victim of 2 violent burglaries in your own home, in a matter of months. At least the poor old lady spoke her mind. Why should she live in fear like that and let those people have control over her and god only knows how many other people. Maybe if someone with her mentality was in charge, Ireland wouldn't be so lawless.
