For anyone doing bio, for Transcription, would i get away with writing about the 3 steps?

    1: Initiation
    2:Elongation
    3:Termination

Obviously not just the titles :P but relevant info, or should i include pro vs euc transcription as well?

Include as much as you can, tbh. Obviously the more relevant points you have, the higher your grade will be.

Everyone else seems to be done. I'm not finished until Wednesday. Losing all motivation at this point!

Same(-ish). Not finished till Thursday morning. Just want it done at this stage.

On the bright side, I have ecology tomorrow, which is the easier of my two biology papers.

Don't think of it as a problem. Think of it as guilt-free procrastination :)

No use anyway, have print outs of most of my notes and the exam is tomorrow.

Anyone do analytical chemistry in 2nd year and have the notes scanned?
Lost mine two weeks ago in the room cleanout :(

Sorry this is slightly off topic, but can any veteran Maynoothians (or otherwise :P) tell me if I am correct in saying that exam periods usually last exactly two weeks, starting and ending on a Friday? Trying to figure out dates for a J1 this summer, examinations office not particularly helpful.

Yep, that's generally how long it lasts. It can go on longer if something big happens (e.g. a few years ago when snow was really bad, exams were postponed until a week later or so), so maybe give a few days leeway between the finishing date and your flight if you can, just in case.

What was the question? They don't put the exam papers on the library site for a while.

    SO103 - Sociological Imagination?
If so, it's not as bad as you think it is. :)

Yeah! We have the questions like but just the material is so difficult to condense and retain, waffle central maybe?

You can waffle a bit but not too much. The fact that your lecturer gave you questions means that she (I think!) wants good answers with plenty of facts and examples. The best thing you can do is just try to pick out 2 questions that seem easiest and do 2 readings for each of them. I know it seems like a waste of time put doing readings is essential to pass sociology. Just highlight everything you can relate to the question of your choice and learn in off. Which questions are you planning to do? I might to try and dig out some good readings if you are doing the same ones I did last year.

I'm doing one on the Division/Inequality between rich/poor in modern cities

The other is how can we explain the attraction of suburban living.

I'm planning on reading all lecture slides for the questions and maybe 1/2 readings for each!

For suburbia I did The best Times? The social impact of Celtic Tiger, The M50: A 'Lugly' Construct and The New Country estates, you should also refer to consumerism and shopping patterns here and suburban mobility. If you need these readings just PM me your email address as I have them on my laptop.

Unfortunately my other question was on place of belonging so I am not really able to help you much with division in modern cities.
