and the reason it does my nut in is because I couldn't care less for streaming the premier league, and if their weekends consist of vegging on the couch watching that crap when their in one of the coolest cities in the world then god they are some sadcases.

I hate you already OP, move out of Boards while you're at it. :pac:

Can you not just ask them to clean after themselves because it's really bothering you? If they don't improve then tell them you're going to move out because of the mess.

Don't start putting up rota's. It's just silly, passive aggressive horsesh1t.

OR, just start washing your balls and arse crack in the kitchen sink and refuse to stop until they get their sh1t together.

@tiddlypeeps yeah you're right there Bill. I don't know if moving in with my mate is fully an option yet, as he has interviews next week for jobs so I mean I could hang on til he knows if he's here for longer. He also is treated like s**t by his host family. It's living with all guys I suppose is the reason, I lived with a mix before Xmas and the place was kept in a good condition and we all seemed to get on. 3 other classmates live downstairs, 2 guys 1 girl, and having the girl you can see the place is kept clean. I'm far from a neat freak, but I do like to cook my own dinner without some flies humping my butter.

So basically all men are filthy animals?

Id have to say women can be just as bad.

I will never rent out my house to just women again, filthy dirty whiney eejits. At least men don't constantly ring you over the most trivial ****.

I somehow get the feeling that leaving a cup in the sink for 30 minutes could be a mortal sin here...

the HDMI cable for those of you who haven't used one, is basically plugged into a laptop and matches are streamed. the house was signed in the guy that's causing the most mess's name, it's just a bit of a mess (no pun intended) to get out of. I know I could like but the fact we're in the same class would make it amazingly awkward. I reckon I'll scrap the rota idea, and just put their dirty plates in their rooms, or even their beds. hopefully the flies will vacate for the spring then.

i googled the magic football streaming hdmi cable and it doesn't appear to exist. why would you lie op

You have to find out what REALLY annoys them, obviously a dirty house doesn't so do something else to mess with there heads and use this as a bargaining chip.

Why are you whining on boards and not out exploring the city? You should be enjoying it, especially if you're only going to be there one semester.

Maybe take a chill pill, i don't know how long your house mates will stand you killing their buzz.

a few options if you want to stay:

    1. Give out them - they will bitch about you behind your back, and it will turn into them versus you

    2. Suck it up, swallow your pride and say to yourself - I'm going to clean the place on my own, its worth it to live "harmoniously"in this location

    3. Let the place go to ruin, clean only your own stuff, have your room as a clean sanctuary

There's so many slobs out there

Don't clean up after them. To be honest if you do that you deserve what you get, purely because they'll get it into their heads that what ever mess they make, it'll disappear. They're probably used to similar treatment at home so if you let the trash build up it'll eventually bug them. If it doesn't you're name isn't on the lease anyway so any hassle the mess causes isn't on you and they're hardly going to leave there for the landlord when you're all moving out.

I agree with the other poster, if you keep yourself and your things clean, there should be no problem here, because it's only a short length of time and you'll be spending your time studying and sight seeing anyway. If they choose to watch the football, that shouldn't bother you much.

You'd mad to go moving out now, your cash is tight focus on your work not the kitchen mess!

Did you not have an idea of what the place was like when you moved in? You've only been there 10 days and you're thinking of laying down rules to people who have been quite happy living like they are. Good luck with that. :D

Then what's the problem? I thought that when you went into great detail about how they had money saved up and you didn't that you stood to loose your deposit if you left the place looking like "Fruit Flies of the Playboy Mansion".

It's only for one semester. If they want to live like slobs, then let them. Your room can be your haven if you don't have the money to go out ;) If it was a long term let and you stood to lose money, then I could see your point. From what you have posted, it's some lads in Paris for a few months who just want to chill out and not be nagged about the boring mundane sh!te you get at home.

Live a little OP and always wear sunscreen

When you mentioned your trembling hands, I could defo relate. I'd be losing the plot if I were you. They're taking you for a fúcking mug, mate. What it is, yeah, if I were in your shoes, I'd probably have smashed the **** out of both of them already, the fúcking muggy cúnts. They're taking liberties bruv, and you're letting them.

Wait, did you actually fail Erasmus the first time or are you just having another go for the laugh?
Just hit a club, pull a sugar daddy/cougar and move in with him/her.

Perhaps the OP could benefit from a semester on the Remedial Creative Writing forum.

Isn't living in a shithole all part of being a student? You're in Paris and only for one semester. Forget about it and enjoy yourself.

Root of this thread is that the OP isn't getting any, he's jealous of the fruit flies as they keep reminding him that he's not getting any, and he's angry at his room mates for facilitating the reminders that he's not getting any.

Solution, to quote Captain Jack Sparrow: "You have GOT to get yourself a girl, mate".

    Make a cleaning rota.

and leave post-it notes everywhere with little reminders, just to jog their memory. I can't see this plan backfiring.:)

**** off. Women are just as ****ing manky. I lived with a girl who used to hide plates in random places strictly to avoid washing them. It's not a male thing, it's a manky slob thing.

Wait is op paying her fair share? Is OP a she? S/he said s/he didn't have a grant or hadn't worked a job, if your not paying you shouldn't dictate how people want to live. I think its a he because he said when a he lived with 2 fellas and a girl they kept the place clean.

No point getting annoyed because they want to watch football, their studying for a masters, they're down time should be spent doing whatever the hell they want plus museums tend to get boring the 2nd or 3rd time.

I'm actually here as part of a Masters you utter twit.

Anyways I sorted it out, kinda. Said it to them straight and I'm gunna stay. Guess I was used to a cleaner place back in Ireland as I was living with all young professionals. Yeah only 2 and a half months I guess, better make the most of it.

basically said that on weekends do what you want, as we have a fairly long schedule during the week and don't get a whole lot of free time. my clause is that on mondays we all clean the shít out of the place, top to bottom. it's clean now, and the atmosphere is definitely more civilized.
