Yea, it was the start of the crash and car prices were on the floor. Had to get rid of it! Was a little tatty and an SDI but a very straight reliable car. Cheap solid motoring. Used prices have really hardened the past year or so.

    2400 for adjustables?

800 for a momo steering wheel

    a boost bass box

Whats with naming the (incredibly unrealistic) prices of the sh!te on it anyway??

Id expect a company (TSB&A) to be a little less retarded in trying to sell a heap....

don't get me wrong, its a very tidy looking example of what it is and a potential future classic. but €1250 is a bit entuhsiastic for it imo. you'd struggle to get €1250 for a 2006 1.8 petrol 75.

yeah, nice car though the 800s

Way too expensive and it has woeful dashlift, they all do that.

Randomly I can confirm I have spotted it a number of time pulling in to Vincents hospital so the story may well be true

Don't get me wrong, I love the cars. But one that hasn't been run in 6 years? You'd want to pay me to take it. Could be a minefield.

wow thats a stunner. I dont know now, if i had a little more free time and you could take it home for 350-400 that would be a lovely car to spend a little time and money on.

My god I do love a bx (probably not as much as you bx:p). My dad had a black 1990 16 valve but sold it in 1998 :(
Loved that car so much when I was little. He used to jump it off all the humped back bridges we came across to keep us entertained in the back :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 656 ✭✭✭bobin fudge

yeah nice cars, there is one floating around my area but the much bigger size and its a 1993 I think but in great condition and very nice interior too

If it was running it might be worth 150-200. Might. But the big unknown of it not running? I dunno. 6 years is an awful long time for an engine to be not moved (and the associated hydropneumatic too).

Cosmetically it does not look bad at all apart from the front bumper which looks a bit odd.

Not a hope of it being worth 400 sadly.

Though I do reckon, unless your man is mad that he could be talked to taking that away for less then 100.

As as aside the aul fella bought a 1.6 BX about 10 years back for 50 quid with a knackered head gasket and fixed it for buttons and drove it for a year or two. Lovely car :)

Looked at a GTI in a similar state last year.

I think it went for €350 or less in the end. No demand sadly

All the better for me when I hopefully pick one up when I see a good one. Need to replace the Clio at some stage.

I'd love a GTI but they're as rare as hen's teeth and a good one is even harder to find. I'd probably settle for a 16v 2.0 or a 1.7td if I could find one.

But would it not have a value of at least €130, possibly more to get rid of it to a metal recycling firm I would have thought

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,313 ✭✭✭Mycroft H

I suppose it would, but it's been sitting in a yard for years. Turn up with a flatbed trailer and start flashing the 20s and you could drive away with it for very cheap.

    Still a gorgeous car though!

Looking into getting my first car and I kinda like that Skoda Fabia posted (obviously not that one at that price).

I'd say overpriced but not that much. Late E46's are very sought after hence why they hold their value
