If we don't buy anybody this window then I think Wenger will go, it'd be a clear sign of leaving the foundations for the next manager that he spoke about recently.

    ...and Pep comes in...

(We can all dream, can't we?)

113 euro I'm paying for my ticket to the Liverpool game
Was hoping my hard earned cash might go towards a new player
    Obviously not :)

652 people will have to travel to the game and buy a match ticket at that price just to pay off Diaby's wages this week.

I hope that shows the ridiculousness of the wages some of these players are making.

Actually in terms of Diaby. 1695 people have to buy a ticket at that price just to pay what it costs for one of his games. Mental

I don't want Moyes anywhere near my club. Isn't Wenger on 7.5mn a year? Surely we could tempt Guardiola with that?

Im thinking this too. I dont know do I want Pep tho. I think its a massive gamble with Pep I really do. I would take Moyes. I think Laudrup would be a risk but Id be willing to take it. Moscow seems to be his only blip

If Wenger does leave I really hope he stays with Arsenal in some way. Dont want to see him managing someone else

I thought I read somewhere he got his contract on the back of a 45 game season if true hard to blame the club

    I could be wrong though

Highly doubtful he would join us, but I'd love to see Jurgen Klopp in charge.

    Even less likely.

He has such a amazing squad at the moment with huge potential.

I see big things for them in a few years. Why would he leave that.

He always said he wanted to manage France. I wouldn't like him to stick around whenever he leaves. His job will be finished. Time to move on.

Funnily enough I wouldnt mind seeing him manage France!!

How come you wouldnt take Moyes? Think he has done a great job at Everton. Has a good eye for a player and would get the best out of what we have too. We'd never be complaining about lack of effort with him in charge

As difficult as it will be to "improve" on Wenger, I think Moyes is going to be nowhere near as good as him. Guardiola is a much better manager and one of the few out there that's available that can "improve" on what Wenger has left him.

But knowing the board, we'll probably get Dragan Stojkovic instead.

I sincerely hope that at least 2 starting 11 quality players are brought in.

Anyway I really think that we should change the formation o play either 4-1-2-1-2 or 4-4-2 even 4-3-1-2 just to have two central forwards as when we play as we do now our main striker isn't always in the box waiting to pounce. I Grioud would massively benefit from this as his link up play and vision is one of his best attributes.

Is he tho. Ok no one can argue what he won with Barca but the team they had is unreal. The whole Eto / ibrahimovic transfer thing too was a disaster. Maybe not his fault tho. Also someone mentioned that since Pep left Barca they have stopped with the fukc acting. Rolling on the ground. Surrounding the ref. I do not want that type of crap at Arsenal. Some of the antics from the Barca players was shocking under him

Is Guardiola all that good? He was manager of maybe the best club side in history containing some of the best players ever to play the game. I know he won a heck of a lot, but I just wonder was it down to having a gifted bunch of players.

EDIT: Just seen the post above this. Som I'm not the only one....

If we as Arsenal fans aren't convinced by Peps credentials, we need to have our heads examined. imo

Strange, they are very much my top choices as new manager aswell. Would love either to come in this summer.

I am going to the Arsenal vs City game that cost me £250 for two tickets.

i am looking forward to it and all i ask from my value of money is a good entertaining game of football where each and every arsenal player play there absolute best with determination, heart and courage. i dont care if we lose so long as our team plays 100% and give it a real go but if they simply dont turn up i will go absolutely mental at the stadium and possibly will never waste money on these lazy players ever again.

So all i ask is for them to give it 100%. That is all.

    enjoy your weekend everyone

Pep would be a risk, but a worthwhile risk. You can argue he only did it with a great team, but he must be a lucky fcuker if he was able to fluke it for so long. I'd happily take that luck since we always seem to be missing it. For what it's worth, I think Wenger will see out his contract and retire to an upstairs office. The only way I could see him calling it a day this summer, would be if we won the Champions League and he went out on a high.

As for transfers, who? Fellaini? £30m from the sounds of things. Baines? Easily £20m. Zaha? Unproven, something people in this very thread were complaining about us buying. The sad fact is there isn't really anyone out there that we can afford and that would improve us enough to buy. Ba was the only one but as soon as Chelsea became interested we had no chance of matching their offer, let alone beating it.

David Moyes would consider 7 years of CL football to be a success. With Arsenal.

If we want better than what we have, there's no use in settling for more of what we have.

    Llorente?

    Buy Llorente.

Did I read that Chelsea were interested in Zaha as well but all of a sudden lost interest?

I suppose you never actually know what happens in these situations but you have to trust that the managers/whoever have good reason for backing out. In a general sense, ok the player might be good and want to play for Arsenal but if he has a serious personality issues or if there is a clash of personalities there is no point in bringing what could be a troublesome/disruptive player in to the club.

I get the feeling that you would be happy if Steve Staunton came in, as long as Wenger was gone.

I don't think he would , to me he is manager who is bidding his time waiting for a big club to give him a chance of showing what he is all about . I know he would give it his all and he is fairly good at picking up bargains too . He would be a great manager if he was given proper money to spend and not a small amount like he has got at Everton .
If yous don't want Moyes then Pep would be the way to go but it all depends on Man City if they come looking he might go to them instead .

How would Pep deal with the stingy moneymen on the Arsenal board? Imagine his shopping list of players if he took the job, lol?
