reason i mentioned the network carrier Shadow, where we are I get good coverage nearly allways with Vodafone, the gf is on O2 and for a while her signal went very weak and when she called O2 said it was temp as they were working on the network and it would improve. In fairness it was sorted a week or so after, I thought her phone was knackered initially.

It doesn't, AFAIK. The whole idea of RAID 0 is that the data is written to both drives at once, once you try to write the 129th gigabyte, you'll be stuck with one drive.

Ah well, will have a mess about anyway as I want to do a clean win 7 install . Sorry I did'nt get a 2nd one now :)

Whelp, just managed to pull the plastic covering of a SATA II port while swapping HDDs. The SATA cable was so tight for some reason. Is the PC safe to turn on? Could probably stick the piece pack on but looks like I'd have to take out the mobo which is just a pain in the hole.

Then I also placed the two HDDs on top of each other to compare thickness and felt this big magnetic pull. SMART. Wonder if they're dead too.

Lads did ye ever experience an external hard drive acting up in terms of that it will only turn on if you have the mini usb connection in at a certain angle for example with mine it has to pushed to the right to activate the hard drive and kept in that position for it to stay on

Not sure can it be fixed tbh

Could be the PCB is loose in the cage or a damaged USB port(common). Pop it open and take a pic, it should be an easy fix in any case.

I opened it up already and nothing jumped out at me. I reckon its the usb slot. The previous owner is not the best with electronics

Doing some investigation, it seems that its only 32bit

Yah games dont tend to be 64bit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

That doesn't make sense. 99% of games are 32-Bit and run fine through built-in emulation, why would this one not run?

The error message seems to think it's a 16 bit app.
Of course there is no way they released a 16 bit version so something is not right.

Yo ED that router I got is immense, I swear my internet has gotten better lol

    Thanks for the advice again

No probs. A good unit can reduce pings and process packets faster, so you could perceive a slight difference.

    Can I ask which router??
I wouldn't mind getting a decent one that has lots to mess with and being faster would be nice too :P

Our internet goes down a ridiculous amount. I think what happens is the DSL will drop for a split second and then the router doesn't realise and never tries to reconnect. So we have to manually restart the router every-time (actually when I say it out loud that's probably not the issue). I would hope getting a good router would fix the problem.
