Chase those crazy baldheads out of the town

I am tired of my hair and contemplating shaving my head. I have a big afro which I restrain in a frohawk, like this one. The last time I got this itch, I ended up shaving off my lovely, ass length dreadlocks, just like that and I have regretted it ever since. So AH, should I shave it or let it grow? How do you feel about women with bald heads?

Baldheaded people are incredibly sane, rational, good fun and intelligent.

    Excellent lovers too.

Yes, partly by choice, because I love the air of distinguishment that it gives me, and partly by nature, because I have no hair.

I think it can look really well, and highlights pretty faces strongly, but many might disagree. It certainly doesn't look unfeminine or anything anyway, so I wouldn't worry.

Why not train it all into one great big ginormous superduperfunkychunky dread? When it grows long enough you could sit on it at bus stops.

    Get your dreadlocks back.

Paint rabbits on your head. From a distance they'll look like hares!

What if instead of shaving it you just shorten it?

Also, on a practical note, I used to have hair most of the way down my back. When I was living in shítty rented accommodation for college I'd have a solid three or four minutes of hot water to shower in, which made it about impossible to keep the hair clean and me from developing hypothermia at the same time. Ended up cutting it off short. Then my true laziness shone through and I realised how much easier it is to have short hair. Being bald will obviously be more of the same, though I do miss it (and the beard) when it's cold...

I read your question different the first time. I guess that's an option too. I could do that. I've had my hair an inch long before but I've never been bald before and even though I am more than a little apprehensive about it, I am also fascinated by the idea.

There being 2 posters called "It wasn't me" makes this thread confusing.

Being bald really does let the cold get you. Try short first then go bald if you are not happy. You can always cut it off but you have to wait for it to grow back.

I understand this all too well. It used to take me an hour just to wash my dreadlocks and my back would hurt from the wet weight of them, another hour to dry and when I had to lock them, 3 hours!!:eek:

Bald is sounding more and more attractive now that I remember why I had the itch to cut my dreadlocks in the first place. No salons, no women pulling at your head for hours on end, no pain....

Dreadlocks look like shít, but that frohawk thing is sexy. Keep it.

I'm bald as a coot, doesn't bother me - in fact i look better bald than with hair.
But that being said i would KILL, for an afro!

You think that's bad? I'd a few pints in me the first time I saw her username and was thinking "Eh, when the fook did I post here?!"

Bald heads on the ladies are way too subjective for a bunch of people on d'internet to give you any kind of clear guidance

Careful now. If you go totally bald you'll find out what shape your head really is! What happens if you have one of those totally bockety heads? Like the people on winning streak?

    This ain't a bald head, it's a solar panel for a sex machine baby.....:p

I should probably add a poll and go with the winning team. As for the post about the right face for it- I don't know if I do but if I shave my head, it will be fun to find out :). When people think you've made a mistake, they go, 'you changed your hair,' and then they follow it with the obligatory compliment to cover up as opposed to, 'wow, your hair looks great.' :D

If you're young, sure you might as well. If you want attention enough to ask AH, you'll definitely appreciate the real-world attention you'll get.

Better than one friend of mine at seeing someone he knew without makeup for the first time.

    *squinting* "You look... different..."
