    To each their own and all that, but what I find worse are the kind of people that judge others as "prudes" simply because whatever that persons particular kink is, just doesn't do it for the person they deem to be "prude".

    Having tried bdsm and light bondage, etc, I felt like a bit of a twat more than anything.

    I'll never forget one time though, one of my female friends was into anal fisting, and she was introducing me to her new boyfriend who held out his hand to shake mine... "You're alright thanks!", I thought to myself.

    No, the majority of homosexuals wouldn't find straight sex disgusting, it is merely "meh" to them because it uninterests them. You're brought up to think gay sex is disgusting, but not straight sex, so many don't see anything disgusting about straight sex, it just doesn't do anything for them.

    How you're brought up to view things will really influence how you see things like gay sex and you most likely could see it as disgusting because you were raised in this society to think that way. Do away with the stigma, which is happening all the time, and the majority of straight people will eventually just view gay sex as "meh" and something that doesn't interest or do anything for them -no disgust though.

    Everyone has their fetishes, some weirder than others. Once its legal and harming nobody then have at it.

    I personally think a fetish for feet is gross, but thats one of the more common.

    I don't think even legal comes into it. If it's not harming anybody then have at it - it's not so long ago that homosexuality was illegal. Legality is at the whim of policy makers.

    I also don't get the foot thing - i wouldn't say it disgusts me or anything but i don't find feet even remotely sexual. But each to their own!

    It's just sex. In fairness when I was about 15 and looking at gay porn I also thought it was all disgusting and I thought if ever I did play around with a guy it could only be kissing. Ofc. That's just how I was brought up to see it and I copped on and realised it's just sex, feck all wrong with it.

    There isn't a huge amount of a difference between anal sex between a man and a woman or two men, the gender difference being the only difference, so I didn't get the big deal anymore after that. Call gay sex disgusting but it's all about as "disgusting" as straight sex, but with nothing wrong with either one.

    Another user of the site put it best for me in a thread about homosexuality. We are a species that likes to judge and we seem hard pushed to see the difference between "That is disgusting to me." and "That is disgusting."

    That simple point was an eye opener to me and it seems very true. Just because something is not for me - this should not license me to deride the action/thing itself. I now actively try to add something like "to me" to every thought or sentence I have when judging things. "That girl is beautiful/ugly _to me_". "This food tastes awful _to me_". "That way of life is wrong _for me_".

    Would that more people could or would try this. My own relationship is a little weird and odd in the eyes of many people. It is a relationship type that is not for everyone - or even for many people. Which is fine because I am not asking anyone to do the same as me - or even promoting it or recommending it in anyway. I do not even make it obvious in any way in my day to day life.

    The horror - anger - derision - and even violence it has engendered in others who cop the dynamic of my relationship however can be quite surprising.

    Are you sure those who call people with x fetish sick/freaks/weirdos have themselves a "sick/weird" fetish? Surely you realise it's possible for them not to?

    When you say everyone has a range of fetishes, if fetish means "turn-on" than yes, but it is most certainly not true that everyone has a range of unusual, obscure, extreme ones - it would make more sense that only a minority does actually.

    If people are into scat, I am well within my rights to think and even say "Yuck", but not to stop them. Although I could see how those close to them would worry about their health and safety (in the unlikely situation that they knew about it :pac:). Sh1t is toxic/potentially dangerous, consent or no consent.

    You should be able to accept your own (perfect ably acceptable) kinks without having to project them on to others.

    My sentiments exactly- that horrifies me, but it's not hurting anyone and they're both consenting adults, so leave them to it.

    I must admit, I am curious as to why they find that attractive/a turn on. I tend to be curious as to the inner workings of anyone who has a drastically different view to me- like why and how they think so differently to me...

    There really is a fetish for everyone, going from the average foot fetish to the more the obscure smoking / hiccup / burping fetish which are pretty harmless.

    Each to their own, it's quite interesting to see all the different types that exist out there.

    I do find the more bizarre stuff to be disguistingly hilarious, like urinal cake sucking, dildo go-karting, fart smelling, "farming" (stealing poo from public jacks), as in how far one would degrade themselves for sexual pleasure.
