    YIKES.

Just spotted that. Still, for the price, I'd get one and throw it on if the rest of the car is ok

Am I missing something blatantly obvious in the ad (I probably am!). Don't see any rear view snap of it

There definitely was one last night, taken from rear passenger side of the car, where you could see an exhaust large enough to hide a small dog.

    I'm liking this.

Clean car, good ad, cheap car to run.

Work the price a bit and it would give happy motoring to someone.

Mightn't be too badly priced depending on what tyres they have on it, mileage and actual condition in the flesh :) A couple of hundred would be haggled off presumably.

If you're honestly letting that go for 300... :(

    Hope it goes well!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,848 ✭✭✭Redisle

Seriously. I think you could have asked closer to 800 for that! 300 would usually buy scrap meant for parts.

First attempt here, always liked these... Merc CLK200 for €1400

Pros: Facelift model, Auto, long NCT, Avantgarde spec

Cons: No leather, high mileage (fairly bulletproof engine though), no tax, needs fog light bulb, dent in drivers door, colour?

Overall decent bang for your buck I reckon, If driving well and could be got for €1200

Petty motoring. 500 euro. One owner tax and test til middle of the year.

    i

its got an auto box and a high driving position, two things that i require, i looked then up on parkers and honost john, it did not make for pleasent reading, but there are many happy owners out there.

    01 Saab 95 2L

I imagine it could be got for €700. Autobox is known to have issues at 90k miles, oil sludge problem is notorious, but if not noisy it should be ok. Fast enough when chipped.

Lovely motor Lightning, obviously not tempted myself but it's a fantastic colour and looks very clean.

Nope, good starter cars though. Not the worst looking car either, the Polo of that time was far worse to look at.

    Your list keeps changing lol.

Anyway here is one from back on this thread. Suits your needs and I remember someone saying COULD BE a cheap fix. Pickings are slim otherwise.

Yeah, I think it was Saab Ed who reckoned a fluid change might sort the autobox.
