I also got NSF most wanted for Xmas but I'm too drunk to play so ill play it tomorrow.
Is it the Vita version? Because I ain't getting the big console versions, since I don't want to deal with an online pass.

yeah, I'd never myself buy a game that involves online passes

I almost want to buy the WiiU version of Tekken Tag 2, since it doesn't have one either, but I'm not sure about the game's online community at the moment, which is a bit of a risk. Decisions, decisions.

To be honest, I think online passes are actually quite a decent idea. Yes, entering the code is a minor irritant, but anything that limits the appeal of Gamestop and their overpriced second hand racket is OK with me.

There are problems with it, naturally. A pain if you have more than one in the family that wants to play. It's not exactly future proof (although in fairness that's applicable to any game with online functionality, pass or no pass). So while it's not an elegant solution (hopefully one will develop somewhere along the line), I can totally see where publishers are coming from with it. Mostly it's just born out of my strong hatred for the sale of new but used titles at inflated prices, as opposed to the sale of used games further down the line for enthusiast collection purposes.

    BOOOO!

At least they should do the Warner way by having the online pass requirement only temporary. As far as I know, Mortal Kombat 9 no longer requires one and it didn't have one in the Komplete Edition and the Vita version.

Check out one of the things my girlfriend got me, I spent ages playing with it yesterday like a giddy eejit - it's class!

The long piece plugs in - all of the pieces have metal edges. Once they touch each other, it creates a circuit and lights them up.

Oh, an extra character unlocks if you play the new Sega racing game over the next few days ;)

Also: the Lighthouse Cinema currently has a Fix It Felix Jr. arcade cab set up! Obviously a marketing thing, but it's pretty cool!

No, I don't have a vita :( got it on the 360. It's down to €25 in HMV at the mo.

Vita prices seem to be tumbling. Was in Gamestop and you can get a Wi-fi model for 249.99. However you can get a bundle with a 4GB memory card and a ****ty game for 219.99. Unfortunately Balbriggan had none left. They tried to sell me the Call of Dity pack for 239.99. No dice.

I'm kind of interested in one now even though I don't really have the money but then again Christmas feels kind of crap with nothing electronic to fiddle with.

Oh really??? Try to get it from them if you can, I saw one sell recently for about 20k!

    Here it is -

Not sure if posted already but all WiiU games seem to have plummeted in price today, ZombieU for 50 for example. The Sonic racing game is 37

50 quid is a plummet? Jesus. Hate to think what the normal prices are.

Well, if you want it and are cursed with Gamestop vouchers you'll be paying 69.99.
Before the 25th you'd have been paying 54.99 or so in HM of the V.

It does give one hope that future WiiU games will be priced with one foot in a sane universe!

Right now I have a non interweb connected WiiU and have Nintendoland to keep me warm at night.
    Need more stuff!
What's the best thing on the WiiU shop right now?

Yep. Cant say authentic like torn artwork and dirty scuff marks!

I'd no issues setting the Wii U up connectivity wise. I started the big update about 6pm yesterday, looked at it at 7 oclock & it had "failed to contact server". Said fugg that, plugged in the Wii Lan Adapter & hard wired it...update was finished 40 mins later.

The 3DS is a farce online too, I have to turn off the firewall in the router if I want to download anything, even sticking it in a dmz doesn't work.

Nintendo - sort your stuff out!

I've got a spare tenner of PSN credit left over after buying most of the stuff that interested me out of some vouchers I got for Jebus day. I was thinking of getting wipeout HD with it but thought I'd ask for recommendations first.

Anyone know of anything worth buying on the PS3 for ten beans or less?

Nights into Dreams seems to be getting universal positivity around the place, may be worth a look. 7.99, I think.

I was in Maplins looking at a USB to Lan adapter for €35 but passed when Kerbdog provided me with the means to extend the Wifi network properly into the living room.
Never the less it's no dice as far as the Update is concerned, so I'll wait until tomorrow, maybe have more luck.
If that doesn't work I'll get an official Lan adapter online somewhere for a few sheckles less than €35.

Insanity! I didn't get a chance to give it a go as I was with friends, but it's the same thing as the one in that photo, although the screen seemed uncalibrated from the quick glance I got. I'll ask them about it if I'm in there over the next week or so, although I'd say its probably doing the rounds of a few cinemas.

Just bought a Wii Lan adapter online, we'll see how long it takes to get here, fingers crossed it'll do the business.

It will, though downloading anything form the eShop is still S L O W as hell. Its like using SEN, hopefully they sort the speeds out

got my memory card for the vita yesterday. frick you sony.prepare yourself for the scoop, vita rocks big time. need for speed is excellent and an almost console experience. gravity rush is fantastic though strange due to the gravity thing, beautifully paced comic book style look to it.
sonic racers is unfortunately pretty lame, it's enjoyable to an extent but if you've played any mariokart before thn disappointment will ensue as it offers nothing new to the party race genre.

the console itself is lovely but there is some niggling design issues such as the position of the right stick which is ontop of the x button, the card slot is also rubbish alongc with the game cards which are puny and feel cheap and tacky.
most of my issues are minor though.

sending this from the web browser on the vita, it's pretty good for a non dedicated system.
