Kicked out of a Nightclub because I'm "Gay"

Okay, so I only turned 18 a few weeks ago and this is the first time I've been in a Nightclub so I apologize if this is a regular occurrence and I'm bitching for no apparent reason..
I've no problem with being considered gay, thats not what I'm angry about, I'm not gay but I was grabbed by a bouncer, after I got in legally I may add, because I have long hair and he thought I was gay.
Its just the smug look on his face as he grabbed me and kicked me out, calling me gay and laughing as I told him it's wrong to do that that I'm angry about..
I called the Gardai but they said it's not an emergency and I didnt have proof so theres nothing they can do about it, once again I can't be angry at that but it pissed me off all the same that he can just get away with it
I suppose what really pisses me off is the fact that the bouncer will never know how much of a **** he really is, and has probably forgotten about this already..
Am I wrong for being angry or should I just accept that bouncers are low life scum who get their kicks from picking on people half their age?

You know those people who are in their mid-late twenties who say they're sick of nightclubs and don't go any more? This is one of many reasons for that decision that you will learn....in time!

Also, I may add, that he refused to give me his name and disappeared from the door after he seen me call the Gardai. I've never hated a human being so much in my life.

Nightclubs do get old and boring the older you get.

I sometimes find myself in a night club and ask myself 'what am i supposed to be doing now'?

I dance, chat and drink but there are times when i dont have a glass in my hands and i ask 'what am i supposed to do with my hands'? They just kind of dangle down by my side and i look around and i see everyone else is actually using their hands to do stuff.

As for your incident, are you actually sure it was because you were gay. Did he outright tell you that, that was the reason he kicked you out?

- And that Gardai don't give a fuck about alot of 'minor' shit. You've probably heard stories about how a person was robbed and the Gardai took their time to come out? seemingly not caring? well ... Now you can relate to those stories

Even on a different or lesser level.

But as I say ... expect for my post to be "disputed" (people are pro gardai on these forums because the only interaction they've had with them is watching them on the rte1 news

Nice attempt to derail into Garda bashing. Its a civil issue, thats why the Guards aren't interested. And ok, I may be pro Gardai, but no, my only interaction is not by the rte news, cheers though.

I'd start by ringing up the venue itself. A lot of how you get dealt with depends on how you complain, mind. Calmly tell them the story, honestly, and see what they have to say about the incident. I recently had an incident with a bouncer myself (he was 100% in the wrong; I've worked as one so know the law inside-out) and the venue were very understanding when I complained, I have to say. Haven't seen yer man working there since either.

If you're not happy, then take it further if you wish. Clubs will **** themselves if there's any kind of 'real world' consequences that befall them, and if you were the recipient of some homophobic abuse (it's still homophobic whether you're gay or not) by a staff member on shift, then that's serious.

But, realistically, chances are the anger will go away with the more effort required on your part and you'll chalk it down to a bad experience. You do have options if you wish, though. Security guards can't get away with a thing these days, for better or worse.

Lad, let's be honest here, the OP isn't telling the whole story.

There is a big chance here that the OP did something else to get kicked out, I mean, he's hardly shown his maturity or capability to handle the drunken state when he says he rang bloody Emercency Services because he got kicked out of a nightclub :rolleyes:

Oh been there done that. Was a regular there many moons ago. Went in one night on a staff night out, had just got to the cloackroom and my mate rang to say he wasn't getting in because he was too drunk. So I went back out, gave him money for a taxi, went to go back in the door, and got stopped for having to much booze. The guy asked where I was coming from, and I said I've just been in and nipped outside for a minute. He said I obviously had too much 'on board' and wasn't getting in that night. In general, bouncers are a**eholes. You get some decent guys, fair enough, but most are guys who've been bullied at school, spent 3 years in the gym and now fancy themselves as hardmen.
