Jason Manford is the only comedian I like.

Some people just don't suit stand-up. I thought Simon Amstell was great on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, cringey in stand-up. Jimmy Carr is pretty similar.

No you're not being sexist at all. Dope.

I'm not. I love women. Some of my best friends are women.
I just don't find female comedians entertaining.
I've said it before, but this really just depends on your sense of humour. Simply saying 'women just aren't funny' is a bit silly.

    You're misquoting me there.
I said female comedians, not women in general.
    Just my own experience.

For what its worth, the majority of so called male comedians are crap too.

Des Bishop, Neil Delamere and Dara O'Briene. Or maybe comedy is just wasted on me.

That's your opinion, doesn't make you sexist. I agree with you completely, women comedians just don't make me laugh. I haven't given up yet, the ones doing the rounds now are just not for me.

Dara O'Briain, while he can be funny at times I find that is outweighed by how annoying he is. I especially can't stand the thing he does where he makes a comment then pauses waiting for a laugh and proceeds to laugh at his own joke.

You sir have just made it onto my hate list

Threads like these serve a single purpose, they're not supposed to be Earth moving. Of course everything posted is going to be opinion based. One of my favourite comics is Emo Philips, I know a bunch of others who can't stand him. I dunno. It's a discussion board, man, you could just stop giving the threads you don't like attention instead of whinging about them?

I'm honestly not whinging, I'm just offering a different opinion on a stale topic.

    This made me lol.

    Lee Evans is not funny.

    Alan Davies isn't great.

    George Carlin was not funny.

I used to really dislike Tommy Tiernan but I've kind of softened to him recently, he can be pretty sharp with his observational humour if he doesn't scream too much.

The whole cast of the Now Show need a humour transplant.

Buzzcocks is scripted to within an inch of its life, so is 8 out of ten cats, end of year quiz etc etc.

Aargggghh! I fúcking hate John Bishop. You have to put him on fast forward just to make him talk at a normal speed.

one of the funniest guys on TV at the moment for me is Graham Norton, even though he's not really a comedian, he's still hilarious :D

    Ricky Gervais
    Jimmy Carr

Used to be one of my favorites, all his stuff is becoming repetitive now. Fair enough you're an athiest and don't like homeopathy, we get it!

Phill Jupitus, somebody should tell him his material is far from funny and shouting certainly doesn't make it any better.

    Phil Jupitus is a comedian?

Some people havent watched Ricky agervais stand ups here. 'Animals' - brilliant

Andrew Maxwell's stand up is atrocious. It's like listening to a bloke in the pub telling a really long story and half way through he realises people aren't finding it as funny as he thought it'd be so he desperately tries to salvage it but fails miserably.

How anyone mentioned Peter Kay is beyond me. One of the funniest stand ups around over recent years IMO. Also, Grahma Norton is hilarious. You could watch his show with the sound off and just his facial expressions would have you in stitches.

I disagree. Don't really like his stnad up

But The Office and Extras were two of the best sitcoms of the last decade so he's definitely not unfunny
