    Anyone have experience with them?

A colleague of mine got this one and I have to say it's very nice. It looks very good quality and feels quite sturdy.

Got it yesterday. So far very happy with it. Phone feels very secure in it.

I have the same one and it is indeed well built and robust but I was a little disappointed it didn't come with a disc which would stick to the dash onto which the suction disc could be mounted. My dash is dimples/textured and all curves so I can't find a spot where the suction disc will work by itself. It needs to be mounted on something flat which is firmly stuck to the dash.

Any suggestions as to where I could get such a disc?

    Ben

They come with pretty much all Sat Nav's.
I found an old one in a old sat nav box that I used for a similar mount.
Pretty sure you can get sat nav spares in PC World/Halfords and e-bay

Got mine today.. upgrade from a Note 1 - very impressed :) and a lot easier to use surprisingly thanks to the slightly reduced width vs the SGN1

Already rooted thanks to the good folks at rootgalaxynote.com and fits nicely into the cradle in the car which is a plus as I had to change it last time when I went from the SGS2 to the SGN1

Question though.. I normally get those gel covers for my phones for a few quid on eBay but to tide me over I used the store credit from the upgrade/trade-in to get the official flip cover. It's not bad, but I can see it becoming very annoying having to open it every time.

The problem is the only gel covers on eBay are black/white or awful garish colors. No one seems to have a titanium grey s-line style gel cover?

Any suggestions for a decent non-flip cover that matches the colour of the phone itself?

Rubbish in what way Muppet? I have this cover (in black) and it's absolutely 100%. It fits well, provides excellent protection and looks good. Was your's faulty in some way?

It didn't protect the side of the phone, was incredibly loose fitting down the sides meaning it could move out of the way in a fall and the charging hole want fully cut out (popped a pen through it easily though). It did its job for a day or two but I really wouldn't use it permanently.

But I am very hard to please usually anyway:)

I have a grey x line tpu cover and find it very good. Thin enough that it doesn't add too much bulk yet protective enough that it'll even protect the screen due to the slightly raised front lip. Plus it adds additional grip to the sides of the phone. Overall is a great little case for the note 2 for the price it costs.

Here's an example of it on eBay

I had the official sammy flip cover as it is the most minimal of all covers in terms of adding bulk while still protecting the screen. However, I've given up using it as even the extra 2mm of depth annoyed me! :pac: watch adverts.ie for a dealz ;)

Updated Flash Player... Works with all browsers except Chrome. Tested with RTÉ Player and 4oD and works perfectly. My work on other devices, but only used it on the Note 2.

This is a direct download link to the APK, so best to click it direct from your phone, or down load to PC and email to yourself.

I am thinking of picking up the flip cover, any opinions either way from people who have it? Is it durable, does it feel like it might break or anything? Does it affect the overall use of phone?

Ya its very durable, ive been pretty rough with mine though
and could do with bit of a clean and edges have bit of wear.
But its great and no need screen projector and actually great uses as a stand to watch movies. Id recommend official one.

Great accessory. Well made and fit is perfect.
Team it with free intelliscreen app nd phone will turn on when you open it. Works great with my grey cover but think it has some issues with the black one.

Wife got one of these after years on iPhoneProblem is that she can't get her iTunes music onto it even after trying a couple of converters.

Can anyone direct me in an uncomplicated way so that I can explain it to her

Also, where is the best site to download music for this phone

Forgive me for sounding a wee bit thick but I use my phone for making phone calls and not much else

What settings do you use in the app to get it working with the cover? Having problems getting it to work. Also, does it have to be the premium app for it to work? Thanks.

I just did copy and paste to get all my music accross. Open itunes and highlight all the albums you want on the phone, then connwct the phone to the pc as a usb device and paste into the music folder on the sd card. Disconnect the phone and all done!

When you connect phone to PC you have 2 options - media device or camera. If you choose media device the phone will appear as something you can sync to with windows media player or similar (not itunes though).

If you choose camera it will appear as 1 or 2 drives (2 if there's an SD card in phone) that you can then drag/drop files into.

Actually, you're right. The method I did in my last post was for my previous phone and I swapped the sd card into the Note when I bought it.

Apologies for giving the wrong info there. :o

No it's def the free version. Lockscreen turned off on the phone so that when it senses it being opened and screen turns on it is ready to go and then turns off screen when closed.
I'll see if there is anyway to export setting but don't think I changed it too much.

Sorry no export option. Have you ticked to run in foreground?

Yeah, figured it out... I hadn't turned the lock screen off! :o

    Thanks for the reply. :)

Got one of these last Friday and it's my first experience with Android, previously coming from a WP 7.5 HTC HD7. I must say I am loving the power of it, it's just amazing, everything is so smooth on it and can run a fair few apps without breaking a sweat.

Haven't done anything to the ROM or Kernel yet as I am still learning Android but I am lobving it so far.

What network are you on? Or is it a sim free phone?

Mine was supplied by Emobile, but is sim free (definitely unlocked, and with no sign of branding) it's on 4.1.1 and says, "latest updates have already been installed"
