    Hi
Does anyone know how many calories I would lose while doing 30 minutes of a kettlebell class? My fitness pal doesn't have it listed as an exercise.
    I'm 122 pounds and 5'7.
    Thanks

    No.

It depends on the class, the pace, the weight and your fitness level.

If you want a good estimate get yourself a heart rate monitor.

I'd be dubious of the MyFitnessPal calorie claims anyway.

It gives me almost double the amount of calories for running that I get from my Garmin with HR strap.

They may both be wrong but I'd rather under-estimate than over-estimate my consumption.

I like 5-10kcals per minute for "normal" exercise intensity

    5kcal/minute for something like walking
10kcal/minute for something like intense circuits

...and something in between for "moderate" activity.

    MyFitnessPal is almost definitely high.

    Polar FT7 or FT4

Garmins are good as well but more expensive I think.
