I have Mata on the bench and he is playing well so he goes straight in, usually its a shoot out between Arteta and Sterling, luckily I guessed right in G16.

Worried about Tevez as Captain tbh, if he outscores RVP I will be happy

I wouldnt pick Tevez Capt ahead of RVP tbh, but Tevez will surely start after last weekend so it might be an inspired gamble.

I don't know who to captain,at the moment its on Suarez, but the more I think about it I want to give it to Santi I also have rvp and Tevez, what do ye think? Suraez back from a ban and was unlucky against Southampton but Villa have seem to turn the corner and havee been decent at the back lately but they rarely beat the pool and have been terrible away from home.

Was drinking last night. Had a dream I took a 12 point hit. Havent checked my team yet but dreaming about this game is generally a bad sign

Worth noting Luiz is back in defense for Chelsea today. Game is live on BBC2 btw

    just to note...

Balotelli is rumoured to be out in the cold at City due to not paying some 2 week fine he incurred for indiscipline.

that may be very good news for Tevez and Aguero owners.

I reckon Dzeko was more a threat to them in fairness. Mario is only a nuisance

nah, he's typecast as the supersub.

over the last few weeks, Mario (versus Wigan, and then Utd), has fúcked Tevez over from starting because Mancini is obsessed with getting the best out of the Italian.

Tevez could well be seeing a lot more gametime now as a result.

I know a few people on here have gone with an rvp rooney combo, what do people think of an aguero and tevez combo. When city won the league last year it was when mancini paired these two for about 8 games on the trot. Theres no margin for error for city now and these two together are lethal. I already have rvp and aguero thinking of getting tevez back in if the above news means ballotellli wont be featuring. RVP Aguero Tevez is prob the ideal front 3 for this weekend( until mancini starts dzeko).

Tube strike in London confirmed for boxing day. Could see disruption to Arsenal v West Ham and Fulham v Southampton. More detail....http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2012/12/17/boxing-day-fixture-doubts-mount/

This along with rotation risks, suspensions and injuries could see some severely weakened teams for the GW

It happened last year. The Arsenal v Wolves game was the only one postponed and that was only by 24 hrs.

Worth a note though,.....the fixture list last season didn't look half as congested as this!

All 4 teams are down to play on the 29th, and AGAIN on the 1st. This was not the case last year. I can't see the PL making 4 teams play 3 PL games in 6 days.

Yeah its crazy but this is the FA and PL so don't be surprised.

Big issues for fantasy managers. Regretfully I'm expecting that players like Van Persie, Mata, Rooney, Augero, Tevez will be rested for at least a game during this schedule. The likes of Torres, Suarez and Michu will play all games (barring injury/suspension) I think. I wont be transferring out big hitters on the basis of missing a game but I'd think Vice Captain choice over this period can make the difference.

I think Van Persie will be rested at home to WBA but Rooney won't get rested at all. The rest will probably miss one game each over the next 4.

    This was just released.

    The significant part is.....
The game is likely to be called off and an official statement is expected later today, with the match expected to be rescheduled for either January 23 or 26..

That will rightly fuck me over! I have Walcott and Nolan in my team!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,818 ✭✭✭swoody

normally what they do in those situations is they delay it by 24 hours so there's no panic, YET!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,094 ✭✭✭SpaceCowb0y

That would mean West Ham and Arsenal would have a game 2 days later though... I cant see that happening? 2 matches in 3 days??

"However, the Club can confirm that this rearranged fixture will be played on either Wednesday, January 23 (kick off 7.45pm) or Saturday, January 26 (kick off 3pm). The date of the fixture will be determined by the results in the FA Cup third round, which is being played on the weekend of Saturday, January 5 and Sunday, January 6."

Strong rumours of Daniel Sturridge and Tom Ince going to Liverpool in January. As a Liverpool fan i can't say i'm impressed, two unproven players. Definitely won't have either near my ff team if true

Arsenal vs West Ham on the 26th is postponed. Interesting for people with a couple of Arsenal players, or indeed West Ham.

Nah, you've been pretty much wrong on everything I've seen you say!...:pac:

You'll advise people to get Dempsey in for Santi now, I'll pass!
