Gotcha. It took me ages to see there were more options, including SMB down the right hand side of the video sources list. It's not able to connect to my work PC, probably for security reasons, so I'll give it a lash tonight. The abcde keyboard layout is intensely annoying for typing in anything!

I've posted this to currys/PC World because i'm looking for a refund but thought i'd share this here too with a bit of editing:

I was wondering is anyone having trouble with the ASUS transformer 300? i know a few of you may have seen over the last few months, me giving out on this forum, but I'm actually really fed up with this unit. I find it so slow, lagging, basically shocking performance wise and I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem?

It's turning itself off every five/ten minutes (i'm trying to capture a video on my phone to prove this). I cant browse, watch movies, play music. it's basically a piece of sh*t and it can't be used for anything. It turned itself off as I had written my original post. constantly getting task manager errors. Chrome has failed...... etc... lots of faults. I'm up to date with the software.

it's really starting to annoy me tbh.my 6 year old Dell XPS is getting used now again instead of it, as is my gf's laptop.

i think I've a faulty model and i'd like to get a refund for it.

I've bought from PC world also.

    any ideas?

Yea I had problems with mine (bought in PCW also).

It was fine for the 1st week I thought but then kept freezing, really laggy and kept getting kicked out of apps. I done a hard reset and also a factory reset but didn't sort the problem

Brought it back into pcw and told them the issues I was having with it and within 10 mins they gave me the Note 10.1 in exchange as they had no FT300's left, so overall, pcw's were very good to deal with so go to them and tell them your FT300 is faulty and that you want a replacement unit or exchage for something else.

PS, I've had the Note for past 2 weeks and find it excellent

Get the re-touched skin from the xda thread install it like any add-on and you'll get a qwerty keyboard :D

This is a fantastic app! I've been looking for something like this for ages and have never found anything that streams in real time at full quality before.

It might be an idea to split a few of these posts off to a new thread?

Does anybody know a good price for one of these with a keyboard at the moment? Komplett only has the tablet and not the keyboard dock and Amazon is charging £420 for it which seems a bit overpriced.

Not in stock at the moment, but not a bad price. I think that's about what we paid for the missus' one out of pc world a few months ago mind you.

I know this thread is a few months old but said I'd try here before posting a new one.

I'm hoping to pull the trigger on one of these for today or tomorrow. Only options I can really see at the moment are Pixmania for E349 and Komplett for E329 for 16 gb versions. Just wondering if anyone knows of any better deals out there before I order, PC World and Currys no longer stock them so has to be on-line order as far as I can see.

Doesn't seem to be anyone with the 32 GB in stock. Would the 16 GB be enough given the presence of an SD card slot?

They're selling for 295 in France (16GB). Don't know if you'd save anything with shipping costs added.

I got mine at Komplett, 32gb, with keyboard and it was well worth it.

It depends on what you plan on using it for, 16gb is a lot, also the micro SD cards go to 64, but I find 32gb more then enough.

Be sure to pick a case for it.

Cheer for the feedback folks. It's actually for the missus, she'll really only be using it for browsing I reckon. Any recommendations on a case?

Thought I seen a deal the other day for the tablet and dock but can only find the tablet now. Come to think of it I've yet to see the dock being sold separately. Not sure she'll need the dock though TBH.

This is the case I got for mine, covers it very well and protects it all around..

If she is going to do a lot of typing then I`d recommend the keyboard dock, also you get the extra battery that`s in the keyboard, giving you double your battery life, as well you`ll get the USB slot in it, worth it if ya ask me.

Most likely won't be getting the keyboard dock, at least not for now as I can't see any good deals on both and have a 13 inch Macbook if tying needs to be done. Ideally just looking case for the tablet alone.
