    No gift, have emailed them about it as I didn't notice it till after it was ordered so would defo sweeten the deal if they post it out....The box is v.hard to open without ripping, so might not be able to play with it till xmas :O(

    same here,was due for delivery today but all i got was a catalogue!rang customer support and was told it will be sent out on the 19th.

    Almost the same as me. Rang customer support and they told me 19th, then she looked at the system and said it has been shipped from England and will be here tomorrow!

    yeah was nightline that delivered mine, when I ordered it said delivery on the 11th, so can't ask for more than that

    Yes, similar story here. I was told on the phone that it was arriving on the 19th but I sent in an email and I was informed after a few mails that it was being shipped straight away from Manchester warehouse.

    Hi all,
    can anyone tell me how this compares against the 8gb Samsung Galaxy Tab (apart from the 8gb v 16gb obviously)?
    The obvious plus with the Galaxy is expandable storage. Currently available on Amazon UK for £179. Even with a slight price difference when you convert currency and having to pay for a higher capacity SD, would the Galaxy be a better investment?
    I ordered the Nexus yesterday and am now having last minute jitters.

    The memory issue is the only thing and unless you needed to load up a load of movies or something for a few weeks away for the average user it's probably not going to be an issue. The processor in the N7 beats the Samsung hands down and build quality should be around equal. If it was my choice I would deffo prefer the N7.

    damn! just missed out on the nexus 7 16gb from viking direct. Was available yesterday but I spent too long deciding whether to get it or not! Anyone got any other places it could be got for a similar-ish price in time for Christmas? Wouldn't wanna go much over €200. If it's not available, what would be the cheapest price for a 32gb?

    argos appear to be the cheapest right now for the 32gb model (but their stock is pretty low in most places unless you get lucky).

    Managed to reserve the last one in Jervis centre. €240 is a lot though considering the person I'm buying for will never get close to filling the 32gb storage. Ah well, I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and get the 32gb unless I see it cheaper before tomorrow!

    When did you order?

    Ordered mine Monday, rang yesterday to a guy who seemed like I woke him up and he wasn't happy, and was told he hadn't a clue when I'd have it.

    I'm on the fence to cancelling if I don't see it by Friday, which by the sounds of others isn't likely.

    I'd say you should get yours today.

    The people in customer services didnt seem to know much when I rang but when I pushed for more information she told me it had been shipped!
