    A turret is a tower.

When was the last baby born with a tower growing out of it?

I hate the term "up to 90" to say that something was great (e.g. "de craic was 90 begorrah!") Where the hell did it come from?! And who the hell thought it was cool?!

In answer to your first question, it seems to have originated in the Isle of Man.

In answer to your second, everybody, :pac: (except when you say begorrah that's uncool).

There's a version of it that's done at high altitude. I believe they call it aerlingus.

I'm saying this as a big fan of Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises is far too flawed. I still like it, and it's a good Batman film, but it's elongated and nonsensical in too many places.
Bruce repeatedly trusting Catwoman, a person he met ransacking his house and who repeatedly let him down throughout the film, I didn't see any chemistry there.
The bomb driving around gotham with a months long timer was ridiculous, the prison with a gigantic hole through which to escape. A normal person might not manage something like that but when you know it's Batman? Someone trained by the League of Shadows?
Batman finding time to douse a bridge in fuel in order to make an entrance. Oldmans character wrestling with a really pathetic qualm about telling the truth about Harvey Dent, totally not in character imo.
Levitt simply "knowing" that Bruce was Batman.
The ending was hamfisted, while I'm at it.

I appreciate it being a large undertaking but it fell a bit flat for me! I actually thought one of the best things about it was Bales performance and the focus on the character of Bats/Bruce. Hmm. I'll leave it at that.

It was an incredibly flawed film but still enjoyable. The only reason the Nolan trilogy is considered "genius" is because it was a bit dark and different and Ledger died after the second one.

I think the GAA is making a mountain out of a molehill in regards to racist abuse. Yes there has been the odd isolated incident this year but there is no way in hell that racism in sport in general is worse now than it was twenty or thirty years ago. If anything, it's the prevalence of social media sites like Twitter and the element of free speech they bring that highlights the issue. And without sounding like a LAD or anything like that, but I do generally believe players take things a bit too personally nowadays, the majority of people who play sports aren't inherently racist. Sectarian abuse is a far far bigger problem in the GAA, and always has been, but apparently it isn't fashionable enough to clamp down on that. The GAA should also get it's house in order regarding cutting out the abuse of match officials before dealing with what is essentially a minor issue.

But then again, we had two GAA players discussing the issue on the Late Late on Friday, so we all know that it is HUGE concern.

We’re sitting on huge natural gas reserves in Fermanagh.
I believe we should frack the county to ****e. Who’d really miss it?

The money earned from selling exploitation rights can be used to kick start the Northern Ireland Nuclear Power Industry.

We’ll not stop there either – I believe NI should be the NIMBYs best friend, we’ll take you sex offenders rehab centres, your dirty industries, your prisons.

Anything you don’t want despoiling your neighbourhood or rubbing up against your conscience, send it this way.

I believe we should extend this offer internationally.
Outsource your water-boarding, your spent uranium storage, and your refugee centres (we’ll need a work force).

All for a modest fee and a few infrastructure upgrades.

The thing is the sports have been nearly exclusively played by white Irish until recent times. It's likely with immigrants and their children now taking up the games that racism could become a bigger problem. I think it's important that they try and stamp it now and not let it fester, there has to be a zero tolerance approach.

Woody Allen movies are the most over-rated tripe I've ever looked at......not one good movie out of all of them.

If I could bag them and label it as fertilizer I'd make a fortune.

He churns out a lot of shíte alright, but the good ones are absolute genius - Sleeper, bananas, play it again sam, take the money and run, annie hall, hannah and her sisters - all amazing films.

I think the same of Clint Eastwood films. I think you could actually die of boredom watching them. Vast scenes of nothing.

You must have a bad dose of the ghey or something.
Right through from the whole spaghetti western era, through the likes of the dirty harry films, play misty for me, heartbreak ridge and even right up until his recent stuff like million dollar baby and gran tourismo - Clint has given us a large proportion of some of the best films ever made. Even the ones with the orungutan are watchable over and over!! Right turn clyde:D
He's even made great musicals - check out "paint your wagon".

Yeh when I hear someone say 'The craic was 90' I always think it sounds like the amount of craic or maybe the quality of the craic was low.

Does it have anything to do with Italia '90, I heard that was great craic.

My most unpopular one was kinda highlighted with the recent incidents over the flag up north.

I have a very simplistic view,

If you live in Northern Ireland, and want to be British, **** off across the water.
If you live in Northern Ireland, and want to see a Union Jack, **** off across the water.

Don’t be ridiculous – our hate is an integral part of our cultural and personal identity, up here.

Where/who would we be without it?

Annie Hall is not remotely funny. One of Allen's worst films. Million Dollar Baby was wretched.

There is too much worrying about hurting peoples feelings these days . Every social situation is a pressure cooker where you may say something impolite or offensive to someone or insensitive.
I blame all this metrosexual ****e . Since when are men supposed to have feelings and feel put out because ye didnt compliment their new cardigan .
