I happen to think Bono is a sound lad.

I'm saying this as a big fan of Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises is far too flawed. I still like it, and it's a good Batman film, but it's elongated and nonsensical in too many places.

Bruce repeatedly trusting Catwoman, a person he met ransacking his house and who repeatedly let him down throughout the film, I didn't see any chemistry there.
The bomb driving around gotham with a months long timer was ridiculous, the prison with a gigantic hole through which to escape. A normal person might not manage something like that but when you know it's Batman? Someone trained by the League of Shadows?
Batman finding time to douse a bridge in fuel in order to make an entrance. Oldmans character wrestling with a really pathetic qualm about telling the truth about Harvey Dent, totally not in character imo.
Levitt simply "knowing" that Bruce was Batman.
The ending was hamfisted, while I'm at it.

I appreciate it being a large undertaking but it fell a bit flat for me! I actually thought one of the best things about it was Bales performance and the focus on the character of Bats/Bruce. Hmm. I'll leave it at that.

It was an incredibly flawed film but still enjoyable. The only reason the Nolan trilogy is considered "genius" is because it was a bit dark and different and Ledger died after the second one.

I think the GAA is making a mountain out of a molehill in regards to racist abuse. Yes there has been the odd isolated incident this year but there is no way in hell that racism in sport in general is worse now than it was twenty or thirty years ago. If anything, it's the prevalence of social media sites like Twitter and the element of free speech they bring that highlights the issue. And without sounding like a LAD or anything like that, but I do generally believe players take things a bit too personally nowadays, the majority of people who play sports aren't inherently racist. Sectarian abuse is a far far bigger problem in the GAA, and always has been, but apparently it isn't fashionable enough to clamp down on that. The GAA should also get it's house in order regarding cutting out the abuse of match officials before dealing with what is essentially a minor issue.

But then again, we had two GAA players discussing the issue on the Late Late on Friday, so we all know that it is HUGE concern.

The thing is the sports have been nearly exclusively played by white Irish until recent times. It's likely with immigrants and their children now taking up the games that racism could become a bigger problem. I think it's important that they try and stamp it now and not let it fester, there has to be a zero tolerance approach.

Yeh when I hear someone say 'The craic was 90' I always think it sounds like the amount of craic or maybe the quality of the craic was low.

Does it have anything to do with Italia '90, I heard that was great craic.
