What about courses/lectures that don't take attendance? Or if you have days off? Do they check attendance every month or is it just for the first payment?

They don't send you a confirmation email after your bank details are entered, they will now check for your attendance with your college/uni and make sure you are registered as a student. After that they should send you an email stating how much and also what date you will be paid.

The payment dates are every Friday before the xmas, and normal dates will follow in the new year.

So if I were you, ask in your college/uni about the attendance file, has it been sent back to SUSI !?

Thank you I actually got an email from susi shortly after that saying the money would be in tomorrow but I won't believe it until I see it but please god it will as there will be no food for a week if its not in tomorrow :(

Are susi meant to email to say when the money is going in? I entered my bank
Details on Monday And never got any response. Just wondering how long now I will be waiting for them to get the money into my account.

I was waiting nearly a month for mine, and I had so much trouble with them during it.. They had everything mixed up on my application, but FINALLY my money went into the bank this morning but I didnt get any email or anything, I've just been checking my account every day! If you keep writing to them on facebook especially publically they will ring you. Just keep at them :)

Has anyone gotten a phone call from SUSI recently or do they do that?

I got a letter confirming that i have been awarded 100 % tuition fees , i am over the moon this is my 3rd year of college

i did recieve a phone call from susi weeks ago which i was reluctant to inform board.ie about incase it slowed my grant process down

i had sent off all my pack at the end of august , meticulously put everything that was requested into that envelope - i applied on 8th july
got grant pack sent out 26th august - prepared everything i needed to send off over the summer so i had my pack sent off again on the 28th august

i heard from susi in the middle of October , a call from an agent called David who advised me that the first page of my bank statements with my name and address on the front from 2008 2009 2010 2011 were not sufficient to prove i had been in residence in Ireland for the past 5 yrs ,
David informed me that they needed to see transactions on my bank statements to prove i had been actually in the country
i was just very accepting of the phone call it only hit me when i got off the phone what i had been actually asked for

i mean my bank transactions are private and i am not gona show anyone what i use my money for , just on principal its my privacy

so instead i sent them copies of my p21s every year to show i have never been on the dole i have always worked and paid taxes

i am just a little bit upset to be asked for such personal details , am i the only person to be asked for this . ?

i am happy to get the grant thank god and i know il make the best of it

I'm in for final review now? How many times do they review this stuff... I'm told I should get a letter soon. That was last week. Is it a good sign that I got as far as the final review stage?

Got to the final review and I was told I needed to sent a document again...the photocopy quality was not good enough. So don't take it as a good or a bad sign, but no sign at all!!

Exact same thing happened to me, I was at final review point for a few weeks at least and then they said that they needed more documents that they hadn't asked for already. I'm waiting for a letter so say what documents that they're looking for right now (messaged them on SUSI facebook page and that's all they could tell me).

Oh, by the way don't believe what they tell you in regard to time frame, I was told that I would have answer about three weeks ago and I'm still sitting here without any indication of whether I'm getting the grant or not.

I was told that my bank statements from 2009, 2010 and 2011 weren't enough evidence either and had to send other documents to prove my residency. It was a bit ridiculous - they had a letter about previous education. (4th year of college, been in college last 3 years) so I have always been in the country.

I was awarded 910 at a month or two ago. We knew this amount was wrong because of my parents income levels so we sent in a letter explaining why the amount was wrong. A week later we got a letter stating i was awarded the full 5.915. My monthly grant came through the day after i got the letter. One month after that the grant did not come through. I emailed SUSI with no response. I then rang them and they said send another email. I got an email then stating i have been awarded 2,375. Today in the post i got a letter stating i have to pay back the amount i was awarded for the first month..

Its not my fault SUSI messed up and awarded me the wrong amount 2 times,
    What do you guys think?

Magaa I think you should contact your students union for advice

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Got a PM from the rep on here robbie last tuesday saying if I still needed help to pm him back and he's get onto it for me. That was last Tuesday. I replied pretty much straight away. Still nothing back from him almost a week later. Why make the effort to PM me and offer to help and then not even reply.

I'm still waiting on clarification if the 89% fees I've been awarded is just of the tuition fees or if it's for tuition and student contribution. So frustrating.

Same story here with Robbie. 'Ill get a response soon' i was told only i had to go chasing for answers as per fúckin usual

Was told i had to submit more evidence of residence despite being reassured before on a few occasions that i had submitted everything. Im fit to murder someone at this stage. Ive never dealt with a system like it. Never.

Ill send the documents again and this time i have good old email to back up the fact that i sent them so my good friends at SUSI cant bullsh*t me any further.

One asking for evidence that I've lived here for 3 of the last 5 years and the other asking for evidence that I've lived here for 3 of the last 5 years.

    Hey everyone,
my brother got an email asking him to download & fill out the Final Course Acceptance Form (FCA). On that form, Part 3 seems a bit confusing; it seems to only be relevant if he's studying outside of ROI, but there doesn't seem to be a section for studying locally. We're not sure whether that means that he doesn't need to provide details of the course at all (I'm assuming they should have these from his CAO details), or if he's downloaded the wrong form.

Part 2 is if you are studying locally.

Ok. So it doesn't need to be stamped/signed by the college, as in Part 3's case?

I had this form in at my uni's fees office and they told me part 3 wasn't necessary and crossed it out with a red pen on the spot for me. :o

In all fairness now you should have send this to them with your original application back in August, they shouldnt have to be asking you to send it in 4 months later.
