Spare a thought for your left hand.

I only write with my left hand. Everything else is done with my right. Probably to do with living in a right handed world that I just learnt to adapt.

Yes, I think it was seen as a disability is years gone by. My mother was left handed when she was a child. The teacher used to tie her left hand behind her back with a scarf to make her learn to write with her right.

Muslims use their left hand to clean themselves after the toilet and eat with the right. The left hand is seen as 'unclean' and an insult to then if you go to shake hands with the left hand. I always thought it was cool little system.

Among Muslims, the left hand is reserved for bodily hygiene and considered unclean. Thus, the right hand should be used for eating. Shaking hands or handing over an item with one's left hand is considered an insult.
