We really need to get things right in Jan. to capitalise on the all round poor standard from the also rans in the league so far. Oh i wish we had bought Michu.

At the moment we are one of the also rans. :(

Crazy how Michu (and Pablo Hernandez) were snapped up by Swansea for pittance.

Hernandez has been running the show for them all year.

The onlt possible positive I can think of is that Suarez will finally get a break next week leaving him fresher for the hectic period coming up.

Difficuly to know what the team will be without Suarez.

All this rubbish about Suarez getting a rest.

He has played once a week for the first 3-4 months of the season in the league with a few minutes here and there in the cups.

What is football coming to when people complain of tiredness this early in the season

Back-to-back league wins at Anfield for the first time since September 2011

In a match we dominated with everyone available bar Borini, I thought we did well. Still need the midfield to chip in with more goals.

What rubbish? He's going to miss the game due to suspension and its good that he will get a small break. Don't see what's so bad about looking at the positives of it?

He will play in the EL game so no rest.

He would have played the league game as well though so it is rest...

Martin Kelly is also out. Considering how well Suarez has been doing on his own and that our second biggest goal threat over the last month has been Enrique in midfield - an option we don't really have due to the lack of a full-back - Kelly was the bigger miss of the two today.

A rest isn't going to do any harm to him is it?

You might have noticed he puts a fair bit of effort into games.

Actually I think he puts every single bit of effort he can muster into every single game he plays. He's relentless.

Thats some mad train of thought. I would have prefered Borini though.

Shelvey on the left and Raheem on the right although they did switch at times during the game.

Pacheco strikes me as the player who'd mirror most Luis's style of play atm. I'd agree with whoever said to play Ngoo though.

Kelly is a good player but it's options up front we need and I would prefer to have Borini.

We have a similar defensive record to United, Chelsea, and Arsenal. A better defensive record than Spurs. City are the only exception.

He did well, but to say he was man of the match would be a slight exaggeration.

Yeah but against Peterborough and one was a penalty and the other very late so they don't really count. ;)

United had 7 shots and scored 4 goals.

We had 24 shots and scored 1.

He played up front in one of the europa league games and was very poor, didn't suit him.

I'd play Shelvey in the central strikers role he played well there in the europa league.

    Our December fixtures are

    West Ham (A)
    Aston Villa (H)
    Fulham (H)
    Stoke (A)
    QPR (A)

Surely this is an opportunity to get a run of wins under our belt before hopefully strengthening in January?
