Rented the game out for the last time till it's sorted hopefully, tried playing for over and hour and between host migration, server connection to host timing out and jumping from one end of a map to the other due to my jedi powers I had a gradn total of one full game of Dom played....so fecking frustrating....

thinking about picking it up for xmas

getting mixed reviews off everyone ha

ive played cod since the first game and enjoyed most of them except mw3 and black ops 1
thought they were the worst haha

but is it enjoyable at most times or is it really just a pile of ****e :L

Rent the game for a few days and make your decision then.

My k/d has been solid in the last 2 cods. Just over the 2 mark, I won't even say what it is now...

Just can't get into the groove. I have got some monster games, a 70 and 10 best so far. The next game I was negative..

Can't stand people who use shotguns. No skill at all. Troll city. No fun going up against them. Come out of nowhere and you're dead without having a chance. Annoying.

As an occasional shotgun user I disagree. It requires alot of skill to negotiate the map without leaving yourself open - the range on the shotguns are crap.

I never understand why people think using a shotgun is 'nooby' which I hear alot on xbox live.

You have to rush around, you can't head glitch and spawn camp or anything. In the action all the time and on the radar too when you shoot

Its the whole CoD mentality really. Outside of SMG's and AR's, as soon as another weapon is even remotely competitive with those classes its deemed overpowered.

Play on Aftermath with a shotgun and just hang around the middle. Easy kills without having to do a lot. Plenty of other maps with a lot of 'shotgun areas' to enjoy.

this makes me laugh, basically anything another player does to kill you makes them an asshole. standing still too long? camper. running around? noob. You genuinely can't win. You could have one primary weapon with semi auto fire , no perks or equipment and someone would still say you're overpowered in this game if you kill them. Blops 2 is surprisingly balanced compared to the stuff in MW2 or MW3, there's no single class that will wreck games like OMA/DC/Commando and high killstreaks are practically nonexistant, I could count on one hand the amount of times I've seen a VTOL or dogs in a match, the rest of the time its nothing above a stealth chopper, which can be taken out in seconds.

This is Blops 2 in a nutshell:

People take CoD waaaay too seriously. I'm not talking about just on this board, but in general. Is it frustrating...yes. But thats because some people play nothing else, they get so bogged down expecting it to be this perfect game thinking it's the only thing out there at the moment. Plenty of great games have been released recently onto the market. Even if FPS are your thing, give Far Cry3 a bash and we still have Bishock and Crysis coming in the new year.

I've an antidote to your apathy. Get yourself a decent gaming pc rig and you'll never look back. In fact, I'd lay money that you won't play CoD again for a very long time. There is a reason the PC crowd don't get over enthusiastic about CoD, not because they're some elitist group but because they've better things available to them. Just look at Cod4 and WAW....PC people still play that even to this day because the community create mods for them. On PC, because of the modders...games can last decades. It's a great way to side step the developers and the money grabbing publishers....and of course, it's all absolutely FREE.
You can find all the MW2, MW3 and BO maps available for COD4 now....mad stuff.

Is it just me or does the theatre mode take ages to load a film in this game. It's taking around 5 minutes to even load a 5 minute game that I've saved. In Blops 1 it would be ready in a few seconds.

Something i've always said tbh, CoD wouldn't be nearly as successful as it is IF console gamers had the choice of MP games available on PC. Its a shame that so many gamers miss out on so many actual 5 star games. Its either CoD/Fifa/Halo or BF3. Most people on this forum will never get to play games like Planetside 2 or Natural Selection.. and that makes me sad
