i honestly cant understand who is it aimed at... Gamers? dont think so.... action movie lovers, sci-fi? please....

They really should be kept separate.

    Game -> Movie - ****e
    Movie -> Game - ****e

    No!

The Walking Dead - The Walking Dead Game
    Alien - Alien vs Predator.
    Spider-Man 2 - Spider-Man 2 Game.

...are the ones that I could think of in 30 seconds. There are definitely more out there.

Agreed on the Game -> Movie thing, anyone here see Hitman? :D

I gotta say I really liked the Max Payne movie. it got destroyed in reviews though. if I don't play Max Payne 1 and 2 at least every couple of months I get withdrawal symptoms. anyone actually played the new one? I'm so far behind in gaming. Need to get assassins creed3, far cry3, Max Payne, Hitman absolution, dishonored, and still metro 2033.

Have to say I really enjoyed the new one, not quite the same dark humour as the previous 2 but still worth playing. im sure you can pick it up in a sale.

you haven't played metro yet :o one of my favourite games in recent years, worth a run through for the grapchics alone.

and in the vein of bad film/game crossovers... Uwe Boll :pac:

havent had a chance to play it, probably won't after everything I've heard.

Currently playing MP3, got it for 12.50 during the steam sales. I think it is a great game so far and a fairly worthy successor to the first two, while not being quite in the same league. Gameplay is excellent and the story is pretty decent too.

It is a b**trd hard game though even normal difficulty, which I dropped down to after about one chapter, has a few very tough spots.

Of the rest I have only played Dishonored , and thought it was absolutely brilliant. Enjoyed it so much I played through it twice back to back, which is something I rarely do without leaving a few months gap at least.

Far Cry 3 is on the way and I will definitely pick up Hitman at some point although the reviews are a little so so. The original AC bored the arse off me and I stopped playing after about 2 hours. I know from AC2 onwards the series is much better but I haven't quite been able to motivate myself into to giving the series another chance just yet.

Metro has been waiting patiently in my steam library for me to get a new GPU, (which should be waiting at home for me this evening :)). Because I tried it and it pretty much my HD4870 a new one even on what I thought were reasonable enough settings (Same story with STALKER: COP).

Stalker...just amazing. Have yet to play metro yet myself. Got it on sale a few months back but have yet to install it, thanks to civ, xcom and bl2. Picked up dead space 1&2 then too, opinions on them?

    stalkers - awesome + mods
    Metro - AWESOME
Civ - AWESOME ( but when you start it make sure you got a pot for pee and some water/food in same room, because you will have a lot of "just one more turn and i am off to bed" )
Xcom - got it myself, but not started yet as i am busy with darksouls. heard its very good.
Dead space - Awesome, you will poop your pants, but it is still awesome. Play alone, in dark, with good 5.1.

I really enjoyed Dead Space 1 when I played it on the PS3, Dead Space 2 was a bit of a let down for me as it did seem to lose its "terror" factor.

The best part of Dead Space 1 for me was the whole "Oh my God, I'm on my own in a massive scary-monster infested space ship" thing.

    That's the idea :D.

Truly terrifying though, which is something that doesn't seem so common in games nowadays. Except for Amensia, of course.

i liked dead space 2. some of the new enemies were **** straight creepy. enviroments were scary as ****.
one particular place in dead space 2 completely ****ed me over. those who played both will know what i am talking about.

dead space had a lot of hate, but it was not as bad as people make it, its not dead space 1, but it was still a good dead space game. now third one.... now thats a turd that is swinging in our faces soon. its a shame to see one more awesome franchise die. :(

You can pick up Metro 2033 in the current humble bundle:

stalker may just be my favourite game, metro is good but suffers in comparison to it. perhaps it's a bit unfair to compare them as they are very different in gameplay, but considering the style of both, comparison is fairly inevitable. metro looks great though

oh yeah i was quoted a price on the SX79R5 shuttle board from a european place - €385, ha!

not necessarily a 7850, but anandtech does an excellent bench of everything.

There was that incredible deal for CiV on amazon - $20 for the GOTY edition (with all the DLC) and the expansion.
    Furious I had no money.

Luckily I did get money just in time (within minutes of it disappearing) to avail of Skyrim for 9.99.

It's taken over my life for the last few days. Best tenner I've ever spent.:D

I got CIV5 GOTY + another game (including the most recent CIV expansion) for €12 on a bundle site there a few days ago. Really good offer (although the bundle has since expired)

It was on this website (they have a offer on now, but its not as good)

IMO the Physx was slightly overdone in the game. Sure it looked great, but the amount of particles on screen was somewhat disconcerting.
