Really looking forward to Christmas this year, my parents and brother are coming over from UK for the duration. We usually go over and Mum always cooks the christmas dinner so looking forward to spoiling her and letting her put her feet up this year. Gonna do stockings and mince pies for the reindeer even though we're all well beyond "the believin".

Tree usually goes up first Sunday in December so it'll be this weekend....yay can't wait. Will post pics shortly...!

And got 12 WHOLE DAYS STRAIGHT off work - which is frankly the most exciting thing about the whole affair.

The Toy Show is on this Friday too, it's a great drinking game, take a shot every time Tubridy fups up or when ever you cringe and you'll be mashed before the first ad break.

Sixteen years on and no doubt I'll still be well jealous of the children who get to review the new toys for the show. Best job ever :D

An update to "The Snowman" will be on Channel 4 this Christmas Eve. I don't think you perfect the original. But I'll watch anyway. Cause I've nothing better to do.

Does anyone remember those Christmas Annual books you used to get in school at Christmas? I think it was called Sneachta or Solas or something like that, can't find anything about them on the net, think they were in Irish too.

My 3 still get the christmas annual! €2.75 each. But this year they look different, maybe the school bought them from a different company this year. up until last year, they were EXACTLY the same (same smell too) as the ones I used to get ....years & years ago...

I'm not going to mine, I don't want to ruin my Xmas buzz by hanging round with most of the people from my work :p

We will have our own mini 'Team' night out later in the month which I am looking forward to!

Our Christmas tree went up this evening! :D After seven christmas's of fibre optic tree with no decorations, we ditched it and bought an artificial tree. Only 200 lights on a 7 footer but it looks so pretty that we've decided not to put on any more.
We decorated the sitting room while we were at it so it's just the kitchen left to do...
