    I would actually consider your logic correct. 1834cc is a 1.8 litre in my book as it rounds to 1.8.

    1800cc to 1849cc is 1.8 litre. 1850cc to 1949cc is 1.9 litre. This is the way car manufacturers have being quoting cubic capacity for many years despite what motortax Ireland may say.

    If you look at a Vectra 1905cc it will say 1.9 cdti on the bootlid....

    Edit: Indeed 1750cc to 1849cc is a 1.8 litre

    I could have swore that system (1050cc - 1149cc) was used a few years back. Late 90's early 00's.

    Could be going totally mad though.

    Good old bangernomics. Bought an ould 97 civic saloon last Christmas for 450. It's now passed its second nct with me. Just needed two new tyres and rear axle wishbone bush. Treated her to four new tyres while I was at it. 27000 miles in one year and the engine is perfect. Hit the 201000 mark last week too.

    Cheap motoring works.

    Your very wrong my friend and you have not addressed the argument in hand by posting a screenshot of a motortax.ie webpage. Just because the Irish motor tax is the same from 1801cc to 1900cc on the old engine cc based system does not mean that a car which is 1834 cc is a 1.9 litre.

    How come Opel call their 1905 cc engine a 1.9 litre. Would it not be a 2.0 litre based on your logic?

    I was thinking this way three weeks ago, but its a straight unabused car which will give me plenty years and who knows my aim is to keep her for two more timing belts. By then she'll be in demand as a novelty nostalgic car and some other can take it on and put go faster ****e on it.

    I'd be tempted with this for something a bit different. The mileage is high and the test is short but it has a few months tax and looks fairly clean. Might need to knock a few quid off.

    It say's miles on the clock though ;)

    I'm pretty sure it's a 110bhp HDi engine in it.

    I concede, what a nice find, HDi and absence of towbar is a plus too :) Although I prefer the towbar...!

    Good find that 607, I'd want it tested before I bought though (pass or fail with fail sheet). Can be tested now...
