A video making the rounds on the internet.

This was shot in a Walmart store last friday. The items in question are cheap mobile phones the people are after.

Imagine if there was a war on :pac:

These people haven't discovered that there's a place where you can get cheap deals all year round... it's called the internet

Shouldn't it be called "ethnic minority Friday" so nobody gets offended?

Just so you know, I'm stealing this line and passing it off as my own. ;)

Jesus that's scary. I wouldn't put myself through that if they were giving shit away for free.

Yeah or some kind of collapse of the system where food supplies are dwindling... understanding more now why preppers are so keen on having a gun handy.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when retail stores in America move from the red into the black for the year, hence 'black friday'. I used to live over there....the sales that day are truly nuts!

    Looks like fun.

I wish the weekly trip to the supermarket was as exciting.

Go to the reduced to clear section in Tesco when they start to mark down prices,it looks like a game of rugby at times.

    Thats scary.
Some of those Women were really holding their own in that melee.
Hope the person filming it wasnt doing so on one of the phones they were fighting over, cause that is one seriously ****ty camera.

temming from Black Friday unruliness in 2011, 73-year old greeter Jan Sullivan was fired from a Tampa area Wal-Mart after she was shoved by a Black Friday shopper. Sullivan alleges that when she attempted to stop an unnamed woman from exiting through a door where exits were not being permitted, the woman pushed her. Sullivan claims that as she fell, she instinctively tried to grab onto the woman to keep from falling. Since Wal-Mart employees are not allowed to touch customers, Sullivan was then fired. The story has been a source of some controversy for Wal-Mart and garnered much community support for Sullivan, including media coverage and at least two Indiegogo fundraisers were launched to support her financially after the incident.

This really pisses me off. I think this "the customer is always right" attitude has gone too far. The customer is usually wrong and staff are treated like ****.
Staff have been killed because their employers put them in serious danger on Black Friday.

Jaysus, watching that really made me feel like part of the upper echelons of human kind.

    I feel smugly superior.

How much do they usually discount the stock by? I can't think of something that I'd want bad enough to have to endure that bullsh/t. I hate people standing too close behind me at the checkout ffs.

Especially the people who also jingle their coins in an impatient manner while I'm dealing with the cashier. As if that's going to speed up the process. I don't often have to restrain myself from punching someone in the face, but those people try me.

A sad and pathetic exemplificationof our continous and neverending materialistic obsession... but hey, got to feed the kids , right.

Sad knowing how much the human race can achieve, and then see this to see how low it can set its aspirations.

Fighting over junk mobile phones the place probably wants rid off anyway.

And all to quench our desire to have more 'stuff'.

it's advertising gold for walmarts etc.

deaths linked to it in 2010 were 5 or 6.

someday they'll get sued. until then, it's free world wide advertising (if loss of life is defined as free - and i think on most balance sheets, it is)
