I'd love to know does anyone themselves or know of anyone that leaves their tree up all year long to avoid taking it down and having to put it up and take it back down again?!? Hehe. :)

    More Christmas Adverts

This old ESB advert always reminds me of one of my favourite parts of Christmas - meeting family and friends who come home for Christmas!

Christmas doesn't start until I see this ad:

Unfortunately they've seemed to have stopped showing it in the past couple of years, so it'll really hasn't been Christmas for me for a while. :(

All their ads are pretty good, and new ones every year. Great cover of the song as well on it.

Christmas tree arriving on Monday at my place of work, 22 ft tall indoors, it took six guys to put it up last year (probably about 2 hours) it took 3 girls 3 hours to decorate it, the guest seem to love it (pictures being taken all the time by guests with their friends standing in front of it),

I don't have a proper camera but one of the guys I work with does so I hope to get some pictures and put them up for you guys to give your opinions,

they have done it every year for the last 6 years, I do hate the clean up after it.

Is Frada really Santa Claus?

Common misconception. Santa Claus heartily laughs "Ho! Ho! Ho!" when delivering toys to children.

Frada angrily yells "Ho?! Ho?! Ho?!" when the prostitute steals his money and runs away.

There's already lights and decorations up in many shop windows where I live. I find it a bit ridiculous really, the commercial circus seems to kick off earlier each year. By the time the 25th rolls around many people are burnt out by it all, The constant barrage of contrived festive cheer in the media is enough to drive a person to class A drugs.

Who's gonna be the naked mod this year?

People say this every year. By that reckoning the ads should start sometime in May at this stage. They actually start a bit later now than in Celtic tiger years where ads for Christmas parties were on the tv & radio some time in August. Thank feck that is no longer true.

"Sales of onsies in ASDA have gone up by 606 percent, with one million stockpiled for Christmas... Debenhams have also see an increase of 155 percent.

So the odds are someone here is going to give/receive a onsie this year.
Mine is very comfy, it's a bunny rabbit one with ears and tail, would never go out in it, but I have answered the door with it on a few times.

Do you already own one, would you be happy to receive this as a Christmas present ?.

If you are older than 7 and are happy to wear a onesie then I will probably find you and kill you...

For your insolence you're now barred from joining us. Although if you knit me a nice christmas jumper I may reconsider.
