Eurogamer Nintendoland review

I may hold off on Nintendo Land myself, adverts, Xtravision, Gamestop etc will be flooded with second hand ones after a couple of weeks. Mario, Mass Effect 3, Assassins Creed and the Zombie U Pack for me, maybe Sonic Racing too.

if your suggesting paying it off over time not sure about hmv (think smyths offer this kinda system) but would not see why not. though pre ordering wouldnt really matter as if you are paying over time you are not likely to have paid it off in the next two weeks for launch are you? paying off in 10s and 20s would likely bring you after xmas at least. and there is talk of shortages which may make it difficult to find one til after xmas after the launchday anyway.

If u have any sense you won't buy a vita apart from a few decent games, I have given the vita 3 chances as in bought it games didn't do much for me sold repeat that times 3 and I then realised the vita is very much a console that I won't be picking up again..

Think it was meta critic gave blops declassified on vita 27 out of 100 which is scandalously bad.

Apart from rayman origins, uncharted and digital games like escape plan and mutant space blobs the vita is a no go area for gamers. It's a shame really as the screen especially playing rayman is beautiful.. Gas really fanboys or those that won't admit it that the console is completely dying because of the amount of effort Sony seem to be pumping into the system.

Simple fact is the digital games I mentioned are the best games on the system and they are wayyy to short to justify spending that kind of money on the console.

If you want another bad point the trade in value of the games are pathetic and even if u can buy them used you will be paying top dollar for ghem!!

Only an idiot would buy a console they don't like 3 times in 8 months. The Vita is a brilliant handheld and with the announcement that PS+ is arriving next week with Uncharted and Gravity Rush free its a great time to own one. Gravity Rush, MGS HD Collection, Need For Speed, Little Big Planet, AC3, Wipeout 2048, Virtues Last Reward, Unit 13, Disgaea 3 are all good games. Future releases include Persona 4 Golden, PS All-Star Battle Royale, Sly Cooper, Killzone: Mercenary, Phantasy Star Online 2 and the absolutely stunning Soul Sacrifice.

I'm curious if some reviews will be delayed on Sunday due to online not being available until then, or will they post the reviews anyway and update later. Only thing with this is that so many reviewers base so much emphasis on online play it could be a big factor in the score. Great single player game -10/10. Multiplayer isn't great decrease to 6/10.
Fed up of seeing games being reviewed based on multiplayer. I'm a single player person so multiplayer isn't a big deal to me.

But different discussion for different day.

But in relation to that patch on day one, I'm assuming that means you don't use a username when creating a Mii, apart from just your first name or whatever. Since there's no way to check username availabilty

oh and on the username front. its not like xbox live or PSN you can use the same username as someone else you just get a unique code that you use when adding people ala the friend code on the wii and DS/3DS

For me red dead redemption single player was 10/10 but the multiplayer was full of dickheads killing people repeatedly!! So in that game if I balance it is an 8!!

Fps games campaign modes are god awful and multiplayer is where it's at..

Judge games for where u will get your value for money on rather than full games I find!!

Don't think bf3 campaign disc entered my Xbox but the multiplayer is worn out lol

As for the the username, are you sure. Since they say you can add Miis from the plaza, what if I was on there with 20 other CastorTroys, would be hard to distinguish. Or even if your friend list contains more than 1 with the same name, it could get confusing, especially if they each have pretty generic Miis.

in this case i think they would have username and then friend code in brackets afterwards. im not saying its the best way to do it but i think its nintendos current way of doing things. could be proven wrong but i think the nintendo network id will be the unique id you use to add someone so say i could be magnumbud (123-456-789-453) or you might have to actually click on the mii and then are shown the user details and tell by the friend code then. i agree it could be confusing. maybe someone who has played more wii and DS\3DS can prove me wrong but i think this is the way it happens

Yeah it's how the Wii works now, but friend codes are meant to be done away with now. was one of the main changes people were looking for.

Yeah i was slightly exaggerating to emphasise how much, well, emphasis is placed on multiplayer which at times is just tacked on because they feel they have to have multiplayer.

North American release tomorrow \o/ I'm gonna do the rounds of the game shops and see if they have a display unit, then wait in line for hours to have a go :pac:

I'm not buying one here cause I'm moving back to Ireland soon and its region locked for games.

i know that they were complained about but i think it is more that they were evolved into the new nintendo network id rather than actually removed altogether. im just going off the nintendo direct videos.
