My first complete build. Completed all by myself--except the front derailleur, which was a complete bastard and wouldn't switch up.

Let the racing season commence. :)

It's a Chinese carbon frame with Trek decals (just to brighten it up, as I think the black blank frames look hideous) in case you're confused.

By any chance could you tell us where you got the frame? Looks great.

Ebay, it was called an RB004. Though the fork is different to other RB004s. I really hated the other fork.

    I got it here: http://www.ebay.ie/itm/carbon-frame-road-bike-frame-bicycle-frame-3k-glossy-finish-Fork-RB004-/280934061612?pt=Road_Bikes&hash=item4168f9962c#ht_4077wt_1026

Just to say this is a damn fine thread. Warms my oul cockles, from the vintage stuff to the brand spanking new. We Boardises have one helluva collection of bikes going on. Though for an oldie like me TheTaxman's stuff is drooooool time and Letape's mad and inspired mix of old and new is well hard.

This is a man who says "I want bleeding edge running gear, but I'll rely on old styllee Campag Cobalto brakes, cos I wanna go fast, not slow down/I'm hardcore". :D

Been waiting a while for this. Finally arrived last night. Part one of two:). Delighted with how it looks in the end. Love the new sram, the mavic's really suit it as well, and believe it or not the hoods look great in real life! :)

Not bad for a standard issue club bike :D

I think it's just a normal 39/53 chainset, but those ultegra cranks make them look huge.

Thanks! Very happy with it now. It's a 53, but I think Seaneh's hit the nail on the head, the Ultegra cranks do look fairly beefy.
