How Ramsey, and Santos are starting on this Arsenal team is beyond me and Vermaelen is a shadow of the player he was. A typically inept performance. I honestly dunno what Wenger has to offer Arsenal any more. His judgement on players is very questionable. Jenkinson hasnt done alot wrong this year yet Santos who is a liability played instead of him. Ramsey continously loses the ball fu*king about with his flicks and showponying. Podolski wasted two balls passing them over the sideline today. Todays perfomance, although the scoreline didnt reflect it, was worse then the AC Milan game at the San Siro last year

Podolski had 4 good games at the start and has been absolutely muck in every single game since. LW just isn't gonna work for him.

Why oh why didnt he take Wilshere off? He had already got away with a clumsy tackle on rvp, Fergie didnt waste any time in whipping off Cleverly. Outside of the fact that some of the players are playing poorly the one thing that concerns me is the lack of leadership. I always thought Verm would step into that role but he's a shadow of his former self and looks rock bottom on confidence. Ramsey and santos are liabilities

Verm was very poor today. As was Santos. We looked so blunt going forward it was depressing.

Well done Mertesacker though, I thought he had a great game. His positioning is always top drawer.

Only heard bits on the radio so didnt get to see it, but should van Persie have walked? Sounded like it from the description on Today FM. Commentators gave the impression that United were flying in with bad tackles and getting away with them all.

Ramsey is not a winger, play any player out of position and they'll struggle. Walcott came on and was just as ineffective as Ramsey.

Jenkinson is a RB. Santos is a LB. Not interchangeable. Very few players can play both positions.

this podolski on the left wing isnt going to work at all, ramsey has to be the most toothless player playing for a big club in the premier league, he offers nothing going forward and i dont care how much potential he has or how much running he does because he's just a passenger

Mertesacker is one of the only players to come out of that with some credibility. he was very good, as was Sagna actually. Very poor throughout the team otherwise. Santos really is useless. Would be better off with Vermaelen left back and Koscielny and Mert in the centre.

Also nice goal from Santi although he had a quiet game.

Yep we're worse off this year

I rate that performance as worse than the 8-2 last year too, this was our best team out there and we were toothless

No Gibbs or Chesney, mannone is our 3rd choice keeper. jack and sagna just back from injury. No rosicky on the bench.

I'm not making excuses but to call that team our best team is ludricously knee-jerky!

No he didn't. Jenkinson is a right back. Santos is a left back. Well calling him a left back is a bit of a stretch but lets just say he plays on the left side of the pitch.

That was prob our strongest line up and utd swept aside in first gear

I think you are mate, lets be honest here. Gibbs is not even a definite starter imo. Chesney wouldnt have made a difference and has been shaky this year. While Fabianski is alot worse than Mannone. Jack and Sagna are fit now.
And Rosicky I mean come on, the guy is long past it and wouldnt have even came on fit or not. He played in the 8-2 remember!

Cannot believe this is a worst start than last year though. Alarming, last year felt a whole lot worse. I still think we'll get 4th though because the league is piss poor overall but we could be bottom half by Monday night.

I don't think Gibbs or Chesney would have made much of a difference today. The attacking third is where our problems are these days and we were more or less at full strength there.

After the reading game I would have no problem with the likes of Arshavin or Chamakh starting in our next league game for no other reason than the first team need a kick up the hole at the moment.

Lets face facts here. Complaining about missing Gervinho, Gibbs and Rosicky is clutching at straws. Ramsey wasnt even his usual terrible self tbf to him.

United did not break a sweat there, as usual. What is Wenger thinking I want to know. Because with Van Persie scoring this stuff really kills the club, player and fans morale. Wilshere wont stick around for this crap much longer.

And another thing this was very similar to our Norwich performance.
