From the sounds of that I want your job :o.
The novelty wears off very very quickly :)

I've a friend also in IT who spends most of his time hopping between Tunisia, the Netherlands, France, and Morocco, and another who spends a lot of time in and out of the Middle East

Wheels will be staying black until next weekend...

I shall provide pictures once it's daylight again. So tomorrow then...

Car is absolutely filthy though. Oops!

Ah this time of year its so hard to keep the car clean, with it getting dark so early and the crappy weather all the time. Plus ive the added bonus of a big building site next to the job so dust and dirt everywhere driving in and out.

Darkness shouldn't stop you. I have a building site opposite my house, the road into town and out of town are both destroyed, so much so that it has become dangerous for motorcyclists

    Sounds like fun alright!

It's been two weeks since I washed mine, I'm having withdrawal symptoms at this stage. The last two weeks of rain hasn't helped, neither has having to take the back roads due to M50 accidents.

Just back from seeing Skyfall. Wouldn't say it'll be remembered as being that great a movie. Too far fetched for my liking.

My brother is very stingy with petrol and always has it low, the petrol light comes on and flashes regularly. his car wouldn't start last week at work so he thought it was due to low petrol (light was flashing) so we put in about 2litres and it still won't start. Could the fuel pump be shagged from having it strained from low fuel so often?

2litres isnt a lot of petrol... thats not even half a can. Spending EUR3.20 to make a car move.. thats beyond stingy. He does realise that if it did move it would likely cut out again shortly afterwards. He obviously doesnt have anywhere important to be.

Last time this happened when I helped someone, it took 7litres to get enough "around the pump" to actually start sucking up fuel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,234 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

That 2litres was from a gallon tank for the lawnmower.

I find I get better hotels (and rental cars) if the customer does the booking.
The crowd I work for would book hostels and bicycles if we let them away with it:D
