I'm pretty sure he is referring to when further information about the game is going to come out?

I meant the game informer and content info, not an actual launch of the game on the market.

You seen something similar. This is artwork rather than game play. Possibly a loading screen...... or completely unrelated and just looks cool :pac:

I really do love the GTA artwork, never seems to get old!

Apparently the magazine (and cover reveal) will both be in November. According to those on GTAForums, Games Informer (which is no doubt where all the additional info will be uncovered, as they've a good history with R*) should give dates for the cover reveal and mag release on or before the 29th of October.

The artwork probably takes them a fair chunk of time, and I applaud that they put that effort into it. But it doesn't interest me. I'm looking for a release date or information that will have an affect on gameplay.

They must not of been that far into production when they released that promo vid two years ago if all their updates to date consists of what, a dozen images? I WANT TO PLAY IT NOW!!:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,881 ✭✭✭JohnMarston

In R*s defence, i've never had a problem with one of their games crashing, failing to load (maybe once with vice city), so with that comes a lot of play testing and quality assurance.
With this game set have the largest size map in any R* game to date, im fairly certain a lot of rigorous testing is in progress to match, if not surpass, our expectations.

Just trying to offset some negativity :o

Me too. Great minds and all that.

Although the second might come and go and we'll get no news and we'll have to bury our heads in the sand.
But maybe not, it's not like we're guaranteeing any info on that particular date or anything. :pac:

The video was only a year ago and I'm sure they were several years into production at that point.

Do you want the game now or do you want it working properly in however long it takes?

Does no one remember the GTA IV shambles? On release (for PC anyway) it was a joke, a dreadful PS3 port and ran poorly on the most powerful of gaming PCs.

It subsequently required a number of patches just to be playable.

Considering how outdated PS3/360 are currently, to get an experience as shown in the trailer will undoubtedly require a PC. I really hope we don't have the same nonsense again when GTA V is released.

Nothing much wrong with any PS3 games I play. Obviously things get better over time but to say it is outdated is a bit harsh. PS2 is outdated but PS3 still looks pretty great.

Also, I dont think games like this are designed with PC gamers in mind.
