Lol at the briefcase comment, thought they went out with the '90s. :D

Actually my "fools..." comment wasn't directed at Steve. Well, not unless he goes and buys one anyway. :pac:

A lot of us like our gadgets especially when they're retro related, fair enough. But that NeoGeoX thing is taking the p1ss. I can't imagine anyone that has fond memories of NeoGeo, would be that unaware of better/cheaper ways to fulfil that retro itch.

I'm looking for options for a SNES pad (or a good knockoff) to play games on an emulator in windows.

I've seen this (knockoff snes pad)and this (usb adaptor)and also this (usb pad). I guess the ideal option would be to use the USB adaptor and get an official nintendo pad from the rage or somewhere, but it's nigh on impossible to get one in good nick these days. I'm wondering if the USB pad or the knockoff controller with an adaptor would be a better option, or are there latency issues using adaptors etc.

I'm not too bothered about official versus knockoff hardware, but i'd like one preferably in the PAL colours rather than the purple US version, as long as it feels right.

Has anybody actually used anything like this? Got any advice?

I'm sure youd get a decent official one on ebay, maybe look at paying a bit more for a nearly new/boxed/mint one?

You can get the Buffalo SNES USB pad for about €16 posted, supposed to be well made and very close to the original. Not an awful lot pricier than picking up an adaptor + an old pad.

    Adapter and original pad TBH.

That might make me sad to own a pad for a system i don't have anymore. I never should have gotten rid of my SNES. Contoller #2 on it was mint too....doh!

Are those adaptors trustworthy? There aren't any latency issues or wierd side effects with them are there?

Well if you are sad about not having a SNES then buy one! :P Never tried those adapters but doubt there's latency issues. I'd be more worried about the lag from a LCD screen.

    Also AVGN plays Ghost n'Goblins

Now I want everyone to remain calm and not get over excited but Killzone HD is on PSN now. Don't all rush to your consoles to buy it at the same time.

Killzone is a game that is so creatively bankrupt that even Ciderman the king of mediocre FPS games doesn't give it the time of day. Which means it's worse than Firewarrior.

It's probably my least favourite zone, right after friend!

Comix, Green Hill, Super Fantasy, of the Enders, Crisis... several great Zones, and yet people are obsessed with the one that's about as creatively ambitious as a Seth McFarlane production!

An amusing review of Killzone from back at Christmas 2004, from PSM magazine:
Killzone was worth the wait, and matches the hype. It hits the mark in so many ways, it's baffling; they promised us we'd experience fugture [sic] war, and we have...and come away shaking.

The magazine was subsequently rebranded as the Official Playstation Magazine. I think that fact speaks for itself.

I like the atmosphere of Firewarrior, loved Cold winter and Halo was very enjoyable, as were the various sequels, HL and HL2 are superb.

Killzone is simply a lousy lousy game, with Sony trying their damndest to emulate Bungies success and, while in committee, fraked it up.
And they have yet to produce a game, from their own stable, that is even as good as Halo, Haze was excrement and Resistance just repeats the same problems again although it does break new ground with the innovative spectrum of the colour brown it implements throughout!

50 shades of grey is a more appropriate title for Killzone.

Are you trying to say that American Dad is anything other than a load of arse?

    I'm getting some popcorn ready.

Still better than The Simpsons in its current state.

Ah Sir J. Ultimate likes to bash the popular trend, not his fault, he's a hipster.

Sure didn't he slate such classic movies as T2 and Predator but praised some other total muck I can't even remember the name of now - some British made film with a contract killer that ends up
stabbing his wife and kid to death
in the end. Worst film I've seen in many a moon.

Naaa. I always pictured him as more of a beatnik. Thinking he's always a cool cat with his Donkey Kong bongo drums.

I'd like to hear his thoughts on season 1-9 of the Simpsons. See if he can really aggravate me.

On any given week at least one of the 3 McFarlane shows is reasonably funny. It's never the same show twice in a row though.

Can't say I'm looking forward to his take on The Flintstones.

Bob's Burgers is currently the best of the prime time cartoons.

    this.
(at least until theres a new series of Venture Bros)
Having said that American Dad is actually pretty decent.
    Family guy is sh&te though.
(and for the love of God would someone take the Simpsons round the back of the barn and put it out of its misery)

The new Venture Brothers Halloween special is coming up this weekend, isn't it?

Oh and lets not forget Archer.

Ah Kill List, such fun! Possibly could have done without all the Wicker Man stuff at the end, but still.

And make sure that deer leaves some popcorn! I haven't had my RDA of salt today.

Leave Donkey Konga out of this, you monster

Well apart from the fact that it only really found its feet in Season 3 (with a few memorable exceptions prior), I have the same fond affection for it most kids of the 90s would. More, maybe. If it pleases you, I could ironically argue it was a load of **** and it only reached its stride in the episode with Armin Tanzarian. My heart won't be in it, though.

No one badmouths Predator. To slate Predator someone either hasn't seen it or has no soul.

Anyone have any idea of gameboy games exclusive to US, can't find dick online. Easy to get lists of Snes pal exclusives, ntsc exclusives, euro pal only, Japan only, special edition lists, big box, extras included, name changes, etc.
gameboy related lists, not so common.

Unless it's the Ultimate Hunter Edition bluray for reasons of removal of grain and detail.

Look at Arnold's face to the left. Looks like a wax figure.
