Its as near as mint as possible I'd say.

Good points: 2 owners from new, genuine 23k on the clock, all original and undamaged, completer with original sales reciept/PDI report/AA membership, 4x original tyres etc

Bad points: Needs 1x headlight(silver gone off reflector), 1x side indicator(missing) and just got a second hand rad for it(cheers DGT by the way) as the original one was leaking and the reg in the alternator is gone.

Because of the rad and alternator issues the owner left it with us to scrap but it was just too mint so I'm going to do a little tidying and then lock it away in the garage.

Jaysus, there not big jobs. You got a bargain, fair play! :)

It would be a nice daily driver id say, Like a go kart. :)

I only bought them for the tyres! Didn't think it looked too bad. :o No buckles or cracks, but badly scratched.

Technically I did something with my Landcruiser today - used it to drive to a test center to sit my HR (heavy rigid) truck test, which I passed with zero faults I'm delighted to say.

    Zero faults? I'm impressed. Congrats.
I did mine a few weeks ago, got a few faults that I swear he was making up. Still passed it though.

I think it was 87 or 88, but was sat in the Nally stand with my auld man watching the hurling. There was a little Boll1x sat behind me who just kept saying Tipp, Tipp, Tipp, Tipp, Tipp, Tipp, Tipp, Tipp, Tipp, Tipp.....for the whole fcuking match. He wasn't even saying it loudly. Just loud enough to annoy the fcuk out of those around him.

Only time he stopped to was to stuff a bottle of Finches in his gob.

    Little fcuker!!!

Got the Aldi battery charger, nice bit of kit for €19.99, much more functionality than Halfords cheapest €35 one.

    batt.jpg

Battery was about 70% charged, so this will be a nice top up.

Should this be something I should look into? Ive always gone through a lot of batterys in my cars much more regular than anyone I know for example im on my secodn battery in the Accord in under three years, I do low mileage about 7,000km a year commute to work is a ten min drive, and then at times the car could be left sitting up a few days at a time depending on the week.

So car was steam washed, there was a lot of moss and crap on it, I don't think the car was washed any time within the last 5 years  The engine got a bit of a clean up as well.

I stripped the seats out and then Dad shampooed them, was going to do the carpet but just didn't have the drying time for it as I couldn't leave the car with him.

Would have been nice to have been able to do it while the seats were out. We sprayed the wheels black and then just gave the wheel trims a quick going over with some silver paint, cleaned the whole interior and put some shiney stuff on it.

Changed the plates on it and then I managed to get the car clayed and that was all I got done today. The car actually could do with a second clay there is loads of crap on it and it was coming off but it needed a few goes and time was not on my side.

Also lots of marks on the doors, nice baby hand prints from sun cream so I will need to try and polish them out somehow.

Then me and my Dad decided to try and fix the bumper for the laugh cos well we had nothing to loose, got the heat gun out and I started to heat up the bumper then he drilled to holes and got a hook and we managed to pull it back into shape.

Then he started to get creative with some silver paint :D It's amazing the things you will do to a car when you don't really care about it, he would never have gotten near the E30 with a hook!!! Anyway sure it's popped out now, total butcher job but hey it only cost me a lunch :o:D:D:D

Very happy with the result sure tiz only a winter hack but at least she is clean now no excuse for a dirty car :)

Fairplay Fiona ye did a top job. There is no bother doing the carpets after, just push the seats back when doing the front and vise versa. You would nearly be better off brushing a thing like that with tardis or thinners before claying.. Great job though..
