I reckon they should give fags out on the medical card for free. A limited amount of roll your own tobacco. It's much much cheaper and not as bad for you. It would lower the health bill for tobacco related illnesses and it would be less money coming out of tax payers money. People would not need to buy expensive cigarettes at over €9 a pack so they'd save money and spend it on healthier things to boost the economy. Win win.
