How many times will I be subject to seeing people nearly crash into the library doors in the morning having no idea that the library does not open until half eight?!

Can you set up a webcam? :pac:

That Coca Cola Zero is some ****e. My stomach is aching.

I thought there was an unwritten rule that you can't bitch about free stuff?

I may just do that!:p It's just the way they walk up to the doors and then stop in complete surprise that they're not opening and then try the door at the side! I mean come on, we're not all standing around the library at 8 o'clock in the morning in the freezing cold for the laugh! You should not be permitted into the library if you are not aware of the time it opens!:p /rant over

i love how UL can throw (and presumeabley spend a lot of money on) a giant celebration over 40 years but cant

    properly light lecture rooms (FG042)
have the printroom open when most people print there notes (8:30 to nine)
fix half the broken chairs in the tutorial rooms around campus
put tables onto the chairs in the monnett
    amongst many other things:mad:

    /rant

It is hilarious...but they'll probably have learned in the next couple of weeks :(

to add to my earlier rant

have two printers in the Library working at the same time (or that they will still charge you when the print off comes through said broken printer, 7 hours later)

Have the foresight to allow you to top your payprint account in the library

concrete the mud path beside the flagpoles or the one between the first bus stop and the kemmy.

    anyone else got a few?

The campus really needs an exit on the Clare side. Ridiculous that both existing exits are on the same road. Traffic chaos every day and I have to drive as there is no bus service where I live 20 miles away.

agreed, enough staff/students coming from Clare side daily to warrant it. Bad enough trying to cycle Garaun Lane etc.. evenings in winter with potholes getting bigger etc... and amount of cars on that one little lane.

What gets my goat though is one or two people parking in the turning area at the end of the lane (beside Pavillion/Cappavilla) blocking the walkway/gap onto campus, cant get a bicycle etc.. through there.
I know last year someone pulled their wing mirror off and left a note on the windscreen. But they still parked there again.

If they opened a exit on the Clare side of the campus it would become a rat run for every Joe Bloggs to cut across and avoid the city, making the congestion at rush hour even worst.

Leave it as it is, there is an option for Pedestrians and Bikes.

Why send us an email telling us to check our coop noticeboard for an interview at 6pm, then tell us to call in at 11am the next day to find out who its with...

Why can't you just tell us?!?!?

Well I had suggested this before; when the pitches were being created, the pavillion and the car park etc... that access from the road to a sectioned off part of the car park that could only be accessed from the Clare side.

I know where the highest objection comes from, the resident(s) on Garraun Lane, seriously though if they upkept the road for them funded by charging maybe €1 a day for the car park per car?
    Couldnt that be a compromise?

Years ago everyone had been so excited that a link road at that side of the campus was being built, that is why everyone believed the bridge/road by Thomond Village was being built. Then found out that none of this was happening and that a link road from the corbally road to the Dublin road was to be built. Slight let down.

I don't live out the Clare way. I think it's bonkers that the two exits are side by side.

There's not really anywhere else to put the exits only on the same road.

As said if they opened a exit on the Clare side it would actually make traffic worse.

And even for a car park there with no through road there was something about Clare Council wanting their name on the college too.

I'm sorry lads, but have any of ye seen the state of Maguire's pitch lately? It's absolutely destroyed and they still expect us to play on it. One of these days someone's gonna break their ankle on it due to the massive ****ing potholes in it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,577 ✭✭✭garv123

People who carry large sums of money really need to be more careful with it. 3 emails in the last few days about large sums of money found in different areas.

    It's a mud bath alright.

I'll be racing on it Sunday in the Limerick county championships cross country. Four laps of the two fields plus the bank adjacent to the track.

Can yee not play in the front field? Conditions are better there.

Heard Maguire's field was meant to be drained over a year ago.

those pitches are saved for matches, clubs have been in trouble training there before plus they have no lighting and since most clubs training after 6 they are kinda crucial

lost count of the amount of players injured due to the conditions on that mudbath, sporting campus my ass

for a match they more than likely will be on the 10 acres pitches, that is if they can keep there team fit and injury training on that ****-kip
sorry this is a special bug-bear of mine

I have seen tag rugby and hurling training on the front pitches.

With the rumour of the Munster Rugby squad going down to Cork surely Dave Mahedy will allow training on the pitch inside the running track.

It's actually disgraceful; the only light we get after 7 is from Kilmurry. Think they'd wisen themselves up considering we're a "sporting" campus...
