Is there a limit to the number of times you can renew a two-week book loan from the library? Or is it just that you can't renew it if it's reserved?

Many post-graduates are the same at orientation/enrollment, always have an opinion on how things are going.

Yeah, I ended up taking about 20-25 people because of people pulling out at the last minute. There was one woman who made sure I didn't forget she drove for 3 hours and that I was wasting her day. The amount of ego-grooming amongst them was sickening too.

Nah, had an afternoon crowd. People whinging about 3 hour drives when others had to get up at 3AM, it's silly. At least don't take it out on the guys trying to get you out asap.

About 20 or so people there. Except us, I wouldn't put any of them under 30. A handful of women out of their minds, one or two couples keeping to themselves in a corner and the rest were sleezy men who came very close to getting slapped...

    Yeah, no thanks :p

My group just left, without telling me, after the library and I spend the rest of the day just hanging around and pointing in directions

Go to Eurospar beside plassey, ask to put money on 3v card - ''we don't do that.''

Oh, so that's why you clearly advertise it on the sign outside?

Well, you never know... maybe emailing you three times about it might just do the trick! :D

I wonder does the plant pot,
    ORGANIC soil,
And seed come part package with the €60 fee :P

I'm amazed at how they're going to drag it out over 4 evenings/ 8 hours :P

Also for those who may have forgotten about it,
It's been rescheduled to run on Monday the 8th October
    And, don't ask me how,
    THERE ARE PLACES LEFT,
But they're filling up fast! :)

Y'know, this is EXACTLY the type of thing I'd like to get emails about! Is there somewhere I can subscribe to get this information? Only problem is, I'm a bit forgetful, so ideally I want somewhere that will send me multiple copies of the info over a period of weeks?

    Anyone got any ideas?

    :P

Don't forget that PVA one!! I don't need THREE emails to tell me to go to your talk in HS-G037! I already know I won't bother after the first mail!!

It's getting increasingly difficult to find my SULIS notifications amongst them :/
Then when I DO ignore them,
End up missing the one about the one on Thursday where I'm to claim before the tickets are gone...
Friend told me about it today,
And sure enough, they're gone... :P
It was the UL40 thing that turned me off them,
Usually asking me to do something...
    Volunteering one now though,
Wonder if I can use it to get in... :)

Or go across to the city at 6 and run from pub to pub claiming as many free pints of Guinness as possible :D

Is there a reason I cant log into my email? Were the passwords meant to be reset this year again? (haven't logged in on a college pc yet)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,277 ✭✭✭Chris Martin

Happened to me at the start of the year,
Couldn't log into college pc or Sulis
    Had to reset the lot,
I'd say mine was someting different though,
Unable to log into student email one at the moment though and I'm in the library.
I'd say leave it a few hours,
    It was working this morning.

Phone dropped down the side of the bed. And by bed, I mean those awkward cabinets in Dromroe that won't budge.

The most awkward beds in the world bar none... :P

When I was moving out last year, I found a bank statement from 2005 that had fallen in there, as well as €20, so they're not all bad I suppose.... :pac:

Oh, yay. Cultural Studies tutorial on Fridays from 5-6 (how am I gonna get home)? I went to one today and it fit in fine with my schedule. *sigh* Sorry for the whiny First Year stuff but that is really irritating.

Anyone know if it's possible to change to the one I went to today?

Ask your lecturer/tutor if it's ok. In my experience there's never been a problem switching but then again, the majority of that tutorial (Friday 5-6) will be trying to get out of it so get your speak in quick!

Perhaps you have a job or family responsibilities that make this time slot awkward for you ;)

Or tell the truth that you can't go home if you go to this slot. Go up to him at the end of a lecture and say this. If he says no (he won't have your name unless he already knows you) email him and lie. If he does already know you, then just lie :P

But do go to him ASAP because as stated above, nearly everyone will be trying to get out of that.

Yep exactly. Limerick's transport system does not shut down at 6pm on Friday :)
