Not too sure what the plan is yet lads - if she goes, she goes but I'm not all that pushed.

That was a burnout comp James - not something I do every day but slightly rewarding once or twice. Lost €350 in two minutes flat that day but fcuk it - I enjoyed it. Won't be doing it again in a hurry mind! ;)

You see, I ask as there is a 406 knocking around Navan with.... Toyota wheels. I've seen it before and just happened to have parked beside it in the local Lidl. As in like the ones you get off a 04 onwards Corolla. No matter how hard I looked for Peugeot wheels, I couldn't find these ones...

    They weren't wheel trims either.

    Similar to these

The Toyota ones have more rounded spokes than that. And there's 6 spokes on the Toyota, that has 7

There is a TTE wheel similar style to what you linked to, but it has 9 spokes

I couldn't find the exact wheel on google...

If I see it again I'll get a snap of the wheels. It has me baffled, the only other explanation I can think of is someone using a set of pcd reducers.... But why for Toyota wheels?

Nope, those are proper pug wheels.

These ones had the bolts recessed and most importantly the Toyota logo in the centre of the wheel

Maybe it's a corolla but with the body of a 406

    Ouch, that hurt!

Off to Cork in the morning, do you reckon leaving Dublin at 5:15 am will see me there for 8:30?

Usually two hours so as long as you don't hit traffic, you'll be there early. :)

Just about. Normally takes just under 2.5 hours, but you may hit traffic in cork

It's about 1 hr 20 mins from Dublin to here then another hour maybe to Cork so you're giving 3 hrs 15 mins for a journey that might even be less than 2 hrs 20 mins!

Should do, you should get to the JLT traffic jam back up spot by 7.30am anyway :pac: Seriously there should be no backlog there 'till gone 8 really.

Am going to little island, after all your posts, I'm leaving at 5:30, want to be there by 8:30

My recent weekly trips to Cork and the Bons have been on a friday during rush hour, so I reckon I'm over estimating.

If I'm early, I can at least get a decent coffee before I start work :D

2 hours 45 is my best journey time so far.

Cars have been known to slide off wheels. Spend the forty notes and do the job properly and safely.

Nah im just removing the wheels to spray them with plastidip and this way i can do all 4 together 1 coat at a time with drying time in between as oppossed to spending the whole day doing them 1 at a time (day off)

My apologies. I read it wrong. I thought he was just putting wheels on their flat underneath it.

I don't know if ye heard about the murder in Sligo recently or not but. (apologies to the mods in advance, for this OT post.)

I spoke to Mr. Eugene quite a number of times when I would be in town. He was in his golden years of his life. A very decent and pleasant person to chat with to say the least. Not a bad bone in his body. He was a classic car enthusiast, Which got me into cars.

He would ask me what my favorite car was. A Seat Toledo TDI, I would reply. He would go into the biggest fit of laughing when he would hear it and tell me the "T" of the "TDI" stood for Toy, as a joke. :) He explained to me how a classic car was like a fine wine. It got better with age, he would say.

Four days before his death, He offered to take me to a classic car show coming up soon "to try and convert me" as he said himself, which I took him up on the offer. the killer handed himself in on Friday night last. It wont bring Eugene back, but at least it will be some bit of comfort to the family and friends...

R.I.P Eugene, you will be sorely missed.

Saw a rather strange looking accident on the M4/M6 at J14 (ballinasloe?), on the dublin facing side. Was heading the opposite direction so didn't get the greatest of views, but from what I could tell, a car had gone through a barrier and slid backwards down the side of one of the hills that the on/off ramps are on.
