    What if the house was burning down? Unlikely scenario but the perpetrators should be done for manslaughter if that happened and the occupants couldn't get out.

    They could get out just fine, they just couldn't get back in.

    I think it would depend on the type of lock.

    My door is always 'locked' when you close it; and it takes a key to open it. I'm pretty sure I put glue in it - I'd still be able to open it from the inside; but not from the outside.

    If I had some glue I'd test :(
