Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Star Trek Trivia {Answer a Question & Ask One}

    Just a mad notion/idea came to me last night, why don't we start a little thread where we can test our knowledge, & ask trivia questions too? Its important to establish that we should all play fair, & outlaw any googling of answers {that'll make it fun & at least genuine}

    Maybe run an answer a question correctly & you get to ask the next one type thing? Again folks, this will only be fun if we resist the urge to google, & throw out real answers...no shame in getting them wrong is there & there's equally no glory is cheating!

    I'll go first, whoever gets it right asks the next one :)

    Charge of the Light Brigade. Battle of balaclava is the only reason I remembered that, forget what war it was in.

    How many times do we see the 1701-D explode in Cause and Effect?

    It appears that there are 2 registrations for Excalibur, and i was using the one that is NON Canon (hasn't been seen on screen) so someone else can have a question.

    Which episode of TNG featured Teri Hatcher in a minor role?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,327 ✭✭✭Merch

    Good thread, revives my old going home from work in my earlier years plonking on the couch and watching TNG, and then slagging off stuff from each programme with the lads, even though we really liked the series.
    Its all good.

    I never realised Klingons were meant to come from crustaceans (according to wiki) just looked up Cardassians last post.

    What was the name of the species involved/the episodes that seeded the galaxy that led to the prevelant lifeforms developing, think it was a two part episode/s.

    Aren't there a number of excaliburs, like there are a number of excelsiors and enterprises for that matter, all at different times of course (using time loosely given this is based in a fictional future :) potentially)

    in my question i specified the TOS one, which i always thought was 1705... it's actually 1664, as shown on screen in the remastered episode The Ultimate Computer

    and i think Roar's is the current question.

    Speaking of that 1.47 milliseconds thing, I never understood it. A session or 2 before Kes was bouncing through time and warned Jayneway about the Kernim. She even gave here the frequency and told her about the torps.

    Think this is the last unanswered question:

    The Chase. At the end it was the Humans, Roms, Klingons & Cardies. Can't remember what the "elder ones" called themselves but the individual in the holographic projection was played by the same actress that would later play the female founder in DS9.

    Q. Who is this? - (The actress I mean)

    I was surprised no one tackled this question ... It's a trick question though :eek:, as it was shown as James R. Kirk in the episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before" - On the Gravestone that Gary Mitchell "produced" for Kirk.:p

    OK - another TOS one:

    And speaking of that, great ep and all........but there is no way in hell a command structure would survive hundreds of years in a situation like that. Not a chance in hell. Oh, the punnage! :p
