Supposedly he wasn't happy been offered a youth team coaching role he wanted first team

Bould put in the work and thoroughly deserves his position. Adams went into management too quickly and could probably learn a lot by coaching the youths. It's a shame if he thinks that's beneath him because it would be fantastic to have such a legend at the club in some capacity.

Agree with the service Giroud is getting, hes made some great runs and still our players decide to pass it elsewhere I would say its very frustrating for him. Chamakh was the same he never really got the service some of his runs and movement deserved and it totally ruined his confidence. Lets hope the big man can score in his next few games and get his confidence back!

Isco/Isquo of Malaga, who we were linked to at the same time as Santi, had a stormer last night.

Does anyone know how M'Vila is getting on?

He got one great ball, and he decided to back heel it away.

Don't keep track on M'vila as I don't think we'll ever get him.

Couldnt understand for the life of me why he did this. Almost like he didnt want to score.

I would of brought on Walcott and stuck him up top because when Giroud went off we had no outlet up front and we just got as far as the centre circle and had to go sideways or backwards with our passing making it easier for Montpellier easy to push up and close us down quicker and keep the pressure on us.

Don't want to cup tie him, will make it easier to get rid in January ;)

I thought that was clever what he did as only for a great intervention from there defender Pod was in on goal!

lol your right he came on in injury time for Podolski, had forgotten.

Ah well only Liverpool seem to want him so Champions League wont be an issue there.

With Gervinho gone to the ACN, he will be at his most needed in Jan - hope he signs a new contract

Had Podolski read it and ran onto it he was clean through on goal and you would be saying it was an incredible bit of imagination and vision - and it would have been. I just don't understand that a 6' 4" striker who can be seen to head balls out from our box from opposition's corners hasn't had a decent cross since he joined us. No good lumping it up to him when he's 30 metres the goal - we need wingers to go past defenders and cut it back ... or at least draw defenders when he makes a run across them and slip it into space ... he's made some great runs but got no pass :(

They're the Champions of France. Admittedly they are having a bad start to the season in the laegue but comparing them to WBA is laughable.

We'll see when they arrive at the Emirates ... do you really think they're going to compete with PSG, Lyon and Lille ? ... I don't think so ... good at home but not to good away I would think ... time will tell.

I'd also add that I think Man U, City or Chelsea would have taken them apart last night ... we made them look good ... Mbiwa and Belhanda looked good ... the winger Cabella when he stayed upright ... but if we had scored the third before half time they would not have been so up for it in the second half ... and also I didn't say that WBA were bad ... we might find it difficult to get three points at the Hawthorns

Not one of our corners last night went past the near post either. He is definitely not getting proper balls into him.

i think Giroud passed that ball to Podolski last night because he didn't realise he had as much space as he did. It can happen, you get the ball with back to goal on the edge of the box it's natural to assume an opposition CB is near you

Delighted with result sets us up nicely in the group!
The second half was dissapointing from us.
Anyone else sense the players were tired or maybe they were just told to reserve energy for man city game?
Podolski is on fire and gervinho is finally showing what hes capable of:)
It seems a much happier team this season or something maybe players feel they can express themselves more now van persie is gone as last season tactic was get the ball to him basically!
Its early days but im happy so far and thats been rare the last few years as a gooner ha

Do you think Gervinho's new found performance is linked to RVP's departure ?

Van Persie seemed to be struggling last night - he's certainly not getting the service he was at the Emirates

Well it certainly is a factor, imagine what the pressure was like for our other players to score with RVP on the pitch.
If they didn't put it away with RVP calling for the ball (as he was last night :D)

I think a lot of players just need a full season to settle like kos, I no cazorla and podolski hit the ground running but it might take giroud that season to settle

It might, i just hope it's not a case that our style of play doesn't suit him.
I would like to think the lads would try and help him out a bit, that first goal could be a big step.

It was for henry and pires, both were very average for the first month or 2. Henry was a different player after southampton goals.

We won 2-1 away last night to the French champions, United crawled over the line at home to Gala, yet your telling me they would have torn them apart, neither Chelsea or City would have done much more than 2-1, maybe 3-1 at best.

We beat Southamption 6-1, the weekend, we cant be expected to destroy every team we meet.

One user called it an Embarrassing performance.
I think the 6-1 was the cause of that type of comment.
