    Will miss AFR. Not a regular poster and had moved over here a few weeks ago. Will take a while to settle in here I suppose and find my bearings. Hope that the better posters from AFR make their way over here.

    Seems to be a bit cliquey. Maybe because it's basically a load of lads who knew each other through posting on AFR until they were either booted off or left themselves a few years ago.

    Glad that afr gone. Only occasionally posted there and find the moderation to be much better here. I felt that it was open season on players over there and there were some particularly bad comments about Kilkenny players. Also Waterford players seemed to fair while comments about players from other counties were rightly clamped down on. I know this place is anti-Kilkenny as well (as you would expect for any successful team!!) but at least personal abuse of players and rumour/innuendo is not looked upon kindly. I hope that this continues to be the case and that all refugees from afr abide by the rules.

    Hi fellow AFR refugees, and all boards people. I was Hitch a few days ago, then I woke up one morning and I wasn't.

    Sorry to see the closure notice and I hope all goes well for LC.

    Had a look on TFK and some user there claims he was both me and RR30, ...Ireland is still rearing them.

    I see Harry is over there among others, but he's too decent a fella to last there.

    Onwards and maybe upwards then!

    Will it be possible to get updates on scores / results on club games as county final time and provincial club games come around over the next few months? Enjoyed hearing about new players and unfashionable clubs from other counties.

    Well GD. Yeah just looking at this thread and there seems to be a few finding there way here. Hope a few more show up like Eaststand, Cot, blanco, Sam, etc,

    Takes a bit of getting used to. Boards is more boxed off than AFR. Good thing in a way as there are now stupid threads from Wummers in the GAA forum, if someone wants to talk about unionist politicians they can go to politics forum

    Shame AFR descended into that. Barely went on it in the last few months it had gone so bad, was a frequent reader for years though not an avid poster
