From what I've heard a lot of the students use their debs gear for dcu balls, sure it doesnt have to be the first one if you dont want it to :p

Well I had to wait a while and then got to log into the student portal, you'll see a timetable option somewhere there! :)

oh ok, i left it blank but i'm sure i can go back and fill it in..

what fees do we have to pay this year? i thought it was €2288 but its telling me i only have to pay €1163?

not that i'm complaining but its a bit odd

I'm confused about that too. I think mine said the same amount but if I've applied for the grant do I just wait for that to come through?

I think it's because we qualify for free fees or something. I've applied for a grant aswell but that can take up until October to get the money. You just pay your fees before September 14th and the grant just acts as a refund.

Some people pay it in instalments, half now and half in January. Much akin to accommodation.

You can see it in your portal the day after you register. It says 24 hours, but I registered last night and was able to see it this afternoon.

Don't take those timetables as gospel though. They could change up to the day that you start lectures.

Yeah, just finished setting up the settings for it.

On the other hand, the timetable hasn't appeared on the Google calendar, nor will the student website load. Just takes time I guess.

I just used the username and password given with the welcome pack, clicked the student email on the DCU homepage instead of the portal link and then sorted through all the stuff on gmail.

Pats have they're own stuff going on...have many many friends in dcu, most of my mates went there and they all agree pats organised night events are by far better!! Maybe dcu should come down to pats for a few nights out! ;)
