They're trying to sign Dawson for £9m. They're in talks with William Gallas. Theyve signed Andy Johnson and Ji Sung Park. Do you think these guys are getting 20k a week between them?

The papers are full of "QPR defend spending splurge" stories.

The Adam Johnson is a good bit of business all round with City making a tidy profit off a player who would rarely feature and Sunderland getting an established international who will do well for them playing week in, week out.

Time for us to buy a proper winger now though.

Guillem Ballague is not a reliable source IMHO. This all stemmed from an Arsenal blogger as far as I know.

If the 5m is true I'm delighted Wenger walked away from the deal. Just hope he uses the money he saved there on another player - DM and support striker please.

Liverpool and Arsenal have different needs at the moment.
If Liverpool have splashed out a couple of extra million it's because Liverpool badly need him.
I've still yet to see a reliable source to this £5 million and 100% of sahin's wages though.
